Looks like a pretty good start there.
Pots: If just doing one plant I used something like this that filled my case perfectly and just wrapped it in aluminum tape
Soil: Fox Farms Ocean Forest is recommended alot around here and you can buy small bags
Nutrients: There is a plethora of nutrients you can use from GO Box to Botanicare to General Hydroponics and many many many many more. With almost as many methods.
Edit: Also case wise that mid tower is going to be too small, you will definately want to go for a full tower. Something like this
EditEdit: Here is something to power your fans with no DIY
Or Splice this onto you fans
Use large tupperware containers like this to separate out what is yours and what is his. Maybe you each get two or 3. Label them with your names. You each can only put enough food in the container to fill it and that's it. Label the shelves if you don't want to buy the containers and label the cabinets. This is a shared space that you both pay for. He's being very inconsiderate.
It does. I just bought a 40-cup Tupperware from Amazon because of it.
I am currently looking around online to find ideas to either build my own humidor, or build a cedar liner for the Tupperware. The latter being preferable as I could hopefully make a few of them for relatively cheap.
EDIT: Now I am wondering if I should get this one as it might provide a better seal.
Thoughts?
yeah i use this: http://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-Storage-Container-BPA-Free-Plastic/dp/B000WEMFGQ. works well for this as well as other large food projects.
I have a few of these guys for bigger packages, they hold a 15 lb bag of rice or an 8lb bag of chickpeas, and two litre mason jars for smaller stuff.
