Besides the fingernail issue, I was also worried about breaking the cover and losing the waterproofness. With this setup, I rarely have to connect to USB and it charges just as fast. It's measurably thicker, but it's hardly noticeable. I couldn't be happier with this setup. I'm shocked that all flagship phones don't come with inductive charging standard.

i use this for wireless charging...along with this case. the phone is definitely thicker with wireless charging and a case, and i think you could probably roll without the diztronic case if you didn't like the thickness. me, i like it because it protects the protruding camera lens. i transfer files on and off my phone to and from my PC wirelessly via FTP. i haven't had to plug in my phone (i.e. peel the USB cover off) since i got this setup.
I am not sure what you mean. All those devices require a separate back for wireless charging. Here is the S5's Wireless Charging - Also the Flip Cover that Samsung sells for it has wireless charging on it too.
