I recently got set up and will do my best to pay forward the help I received
otg cable - this provides power and a usb flash drive connection
flash drive - likely a better one but this is the one i got
bleemsync installation steps See section "How in install from fresh (Including OTG setup)"
autobleem download - I used autobleem-0.6.0-B3-RetroBoot.zip
you'll wanna start with getting OTG support using bleemsync, then save your backup folder in a secure location off your flash drive, re-format your flash drive, then copy over the autobleem files
then add games to games folder and roms to roms folder :)

$17.99 + taxes isn't that expensive, there are cheaper ones out there

...type that question in google next time.
So was I when it started and it’s a lot easier now.
The hardest part is going to be finding a usb drive that’s compatible. You need a relatively low capacity drive to go in the 2nd player slot, the reason it needs to be a certain type is the power supply is very limited to the front so most won’t work. I believe there is a list online of ones that’ll work. Of you want to test one you already own then follow the guide till you get to test it and see, if nothing else it’s a good practice run for you.
If you want use of the 2nd player you’ll then need to install the custom kernel (all in the guide) and big an OTG adaptor. This also means you can buy a much bigger drive and upload more content.
This is the guide I used:

This is the OTG cable I bought

This is the wireless adapter I use for my PS4 controller (also works with Xbone)

And this is the drive I’m now using after setting up OTG

These will give you an idea of expense, completely depending on how deep you want to go down the rabbit hole. You can just get yourself a working drive for the 2nd slot and play 1 player games no problem.
Completely up to you!
This may help you getting on sites "only compatible" with IE. It disguises your browser as whatever you set it, so you can trick them into thinking you're on IE and they'll let you pass. If the website only works on IE, that's the designers fault as it is very behind compared to other modern browsers and they should develop for the standards approved by the majority.
You'll need either a cloud printer or a printer with an email to print function to print with a Chromebook.
Your MP3 collection can go on Google drive (the cloud) or you can buy a large memory stick. You get 100GB free of cloud memory for two years when you own a Chromebook, all you need to do is register it with your Google account.
You should always keep hard copies of your data anyway, but I've just checked and 100ish GB hard drive is about 35 dollars, so after 2 years (free with chromebook) seven months(at 5$ a month) your hard drive will pay off. I'd suggest you just back up your music on an old computer.
I agree with SummerLoveStorey. Additionally, back up that data before you lose it. A 32GB USB 3.0 flash costs less than $10 on Amazon. Sounds like it's used up enough of your time already. Heck, for less than $20, you can get a 128GB usb 3 SanDisk Ultra. That's like a cheap pizza. Just saying...

The list price is pretty arbitrary. Waatcher uses price history and standard deviation to provide deal estimate. The percentage saved is based on the highest price. Here is the same Amazon product shown on Waatcher:

Has anyone tried or had any luck with either of these 128GB USB 2.0 Flash Drives:

Yup, $20 exactly for 32 GB, or if you're still willing to pay $80, it'll get you 128GB. http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Cruzer-Glide-Flash-SDCZ60-128G-B35/dp/B007YX9OGW/ref=pd_sim_e_3
Living in the future is cooooool.
Would something like this work then? Just plug and format and install through Wup installer?
