Unless you want an extra 16GB of storage, then add $200 so they can put a $6 flash chip in it.

EDIT: OK, it's actually $200 for 32 gb of memory that costs $15.

This is a LOT of work for a sub $20 purchase...

SanDisk 32GB microSDHC Memory Card (Bulk Package) Price: $13.99.

PM me and I will buy you this card if money is that tight. I would only ask that you do something nice for someone else that is within your means as this seems to be stretching your budget already.

$15 for a consumer-level 32 GB microSD card

Flash memory is dirt cheap. Manufacturers use it for tiering their clients and nothing more. On Amazon for $12

In Finland, we can do 60 tons when you have at least 7 axles and a combined length of 25,25m at the most. I'm assuming they fit just fine.

Assuming that the transporting equipment itself weighs ~10 tons, we can use 50 tons just for the cards, which can be 32 GB, we get 3.2 exabytes at the cost of 84.45 Billion USD.

I'm about to hack my New! 3ds xl and am looking for a micro sd card that will work.
Is this any good?

I needed something on the cheap end when I first got my 3DS, so I picked up one of these guys: https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-32GB-microSDHC-Memory-Package/dp/B003WGJYCY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1481729298&sr=8-5&keywords=Sandisk+micro+SD+card+32GB

32GB is pretty significant, and since I buy all my games digitally, I'm able to have 8-9 games on the DS without any issue, sometimes more if I'm going back and playing an older game. Fire Emblem Awakening + DLC, Fates +DLC, Monster Hunter 4/Generations and a couple other bigger games were always on the card with 20k+ blocks to spare.

If you need something, or want something a little larger; https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-micro-Memory-Tablets-All-New/dp/B013TMNKAW/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1481729403&sr=8-5&keywords=Sandisk+micro+SD+card+64GB I've had great luck with the Sandisk 64GB HC in other electronics (I have one in an adapter in my PSP.)

If you're not a fan of SanDisk, or want to stick with a bigger brand, Samsung makes some great MicroSD cards as well, specifically this which I just picked up for my work cell phone; https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Select-Memory-MB-ME64DA-AM/dp/B01DOB6YQA/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1481729493&sr=1-1&keywords=samsung+micro+sd+card

You must have missed the memo that technology is awesome these days.
Here is 32 GB of storage storage. That card is maybe 100 cubic mm. Without any circuit board, contacts, or plastic shell, the flash chip alone is a small fraction of that.

Try it anyway even without the receipt. If it doesn't work, cheapest one on amazon is $6 bucks. Memory's gotten super cheap.

ULPT: Buy the Amazon one, return the old one. I don't do unethical stuff like that, that's up to you. 6 bucks is a cup of coffee at Starbucks nowadays.

This is also great because microSD cards of 32GB and above have dropped significantly in price lately. When I got my Thunderbolt last year, I think a 32GB was over $100, now it's around $30 or less. I'm convinced it was a pretty good chunk of the $249 on-contract price.

The only caveat would be that if you opt for 64GB, most older phones may not support SDXC.

For $34 bucks shipped I say go for it. 32GB is quit a bit of room.

This with this or this.

I have finished installing the arm9loaderHax and upgraded back to 11.

I am thinking about getting a larger micro SD card from amazon. Here are the 2 I am considering 1 - 2

Are there any size/speed concerns I should have?

What will I need to do to make sure the micoSD is ready for my 3ds? Will I need to format it specially? I remember during the hacking process needing to format the SC card a few times, but I think the whole thing is back to nothing special by the end of the hacking guide.

While it is possible to get 128 gb on a microsd card, those are very expensive per gigabyte. The best memory storage with the smallest size, high capacity, and very low price per gigabyte is a 32 gb microsd card, which amazon sells for 31.98, or about a dollar per gigabyte.
If you want to go up one size, to usb sticks, check out this usb stick. The only thing past the port itself is a metal structure to help you hold on to it.
And going one more size up, to hard drives, you can get a 2tb external hd for just $99. That's just 5 cents per gigabyte.
