Both give me the same issue. Initially I was saving to a Class 10 card, and was told to try the internal storage. Same issue, so I went out and bought this UHS-1 card which is very fast, still same issue.

Just in cases, if for some reason you're running higher bit rates you might want to look at this instead. I've had some GoPro's dropout after a bit with slower bit rated cards (even class 10) so stepping up to the extreme class.

Actually upon further inspection it looks like these prices are not that killer. I don't know, shop smart people.

Check the Read/Write speeds.

You want something higher rather than lower, obviously. Higher the Read/Write, the faster your card is for capturing video/photos and loading apps/games, etc.

I went with the SanDisk Extreme 64GB MicroSDXC UHS-1 Card with Adapter (SDSQXNE-064G-GN6MA) for $32

I used Samsung pay on a vending machine and got a pop for $1.50. Few hours later I picked up this http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Extreme-MicroSDXC-Adapter-SDSQXNE-064G-GN6MA/dp/B013CP5IWO/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1458069723&sr=1-2&keywords=sandisk+extreme+plus and now that I'm looking at it again looks like she actually typed lower than the Amazon price (I have 5 left on the gift card)

I am currently using the 64gb sandisk extreme UHS 3. I know it isn't as cheap at ~$30 but it is awesome since I use it as an internal storage for my phone.

Yeah you can. Been recording just as a test for 10 minutes now and haven't lost a single percentage off battery so the battery pack is keeping up with the power of the Fusion. Also make sure the cards you got are these or faster:

I had some cards that worked with the Hero 6 (https://www.amazon.com/Lexar-High-Performance-MicroSDXC-version-LSDMI64GBBNL633R/dp/B00IF4OATU/), but they were not fast enough and were giving me errors with the Fusion.

I ordered this one. SanDisk Extreme 64GB

Not quite as fast as some of the others out there but still gets great speeds for the price (~80MB/s reads and ~75MB/s writes).

I purchased this one:

SanDisk Extreme 64GB MicroSDXC UHS-1 Card with Adapter (SDSQXNE-064G-GN6MA)

In the recommended list they have

SanDisk Extreme UHS-I 64GB (SDSDQXL-064G-A46A - 64GB) or (SDSQXNE-064G-AN6MA)

And the one from amazon has a code of SDSQXNE-064G-GN6MA

I didn't think that the G vs the A in "ANG6MA" mattered because the people giving feedback about the card said it worked great. Also, when I contacted GoPro support, they also confirmed that it was the right SD card.

That is true, so as of now, the PNY is the better deal. The PNY has a 90 MB/s read speed and a 50 MB/s write speed, so in that regard, it is more comparable to the SanDisk Extreme class here which is 80 read and 70 write according to a review. As for the one I linked to, read speed is 80 while write speed is 15 (according to the reviews).

That being said, can a 3DS or New 3DS even take advantage of the UHS-I, U3 performance? Hard to say, but I doubt Nintendo looked that far. It's far easier to tell the difference between a Class 4 and Class 10 card than two Class 10 cards with different speeds.

This card doesn't seem to be on GoPro's recommend list, if that's important to you.

For an option that GoPro recommends.

SanDisk UHS-1/Class 10 = $25.99 on Amazon
SanDisk UHS-3/Class 10 = $34.84 on Amazon

UHS-3 > UHS-1

I'm sorry for not mentioning this earlier in my OP. I use a SanDisk Extreme 64GB Class 10 U3 as considered by GoPro.

SanDisk Extreme MicroSDXC UHS-1 Card.

It very well may be dead as it's actively being written do multiple times a day (automatic updates from GPM and Pocketcast) . I didn't even consider that I was wearing it down by using it like that.

I suppose I can replace the card, but I'm starting to see why External storage on phones has declined so much. It's not very reliable..

u/mcnamaragio · 1 pointr/djiphantom

I would recommend buying uhs-1 card such as SanDisk Extreme

u/jasonlitka · 1 pointr/applehelp

Most of those "tiny" USB 3.0 drives are just a cheap SDXC card and the performance is horrid. You're better off with the adapter, plus a good SDXC card like the Samsung Pro or the Sandisk Extreme.

I ended up going with this one.

Was a little more than I wanted to pay, but I figure I wont need a new one for a while. Still not sure on my power supply, will test out a couple I have.
