Not bad but I have two suggestions.

  1. Go with an FX-8320 instead for $10 more as it's nearly twice as fast as the A10-6800K and has 4 additional cores for editing.

  2. Go with an R9 270 instead of two 7770's. It's slightly faster and won't have issues with games that aren't well optimized for crossfire. If you need more power down the road, then you can add an additional card.

One last note (and this is entirely personal preference) but check out swan speakers. I have these and they are the most impressive $130 desktop speakers (or any speakers) I've ever owned. Paired them with a Xonar ST and they blow me away everyday. They also have higher quality sets at ~$170, $250, and higher that sound even better.

Everything is compatible, though I would personally switch out the GPU for an r9 270x, much more bang for your buck. Only real benefit to the 750 Ti is power consumption.

Its the same looks like. The 189 didnt last the day, unfortunately.

Undervoltings > cooler cards, less wattage, slower fan speeds (all good)

Definitely paying too much. He could grab an R9 270 with better performance for damn near the same price.

Hey, fellow Singaporean here.

  • Firstly what's your PSU and motherboard?

  • Your CPU and RAM is fine no need to build a new computer, GPU is the thing holding you back.

  • If you're willing to order online this is really good deal right now, however you may not be able to use it depending on your PSU.

  • If you're buying from Sim Lim or locally i'd recommend the R7 265 which is about $250 and can run DOTA 2 easily at high settings.

EDIT : Okay R7 265 is a little overkill for Dota 2. if you're sure you'll be only playing Dota 2 you can save more money by going for 260/260X.

I would go with this ($170 sorry)
Sapphire Radeon R9 270 2GB GDDR5 DVI-I/DVI-D/HDMI/DP Dual-X with Boost and OC Version PCI-Express Graphics Cards 11220-00-20G https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I0D81OG/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_gjx-tb0S7C1TY

Or this ($150)
EVGA GeForce GTX 750 2GB FTW with EVGA ACX Cooling, GDDR5 128bit, Dual-Link DVI-I, HDMI,DP Graphics Cards 02G-P4-2758-KR https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J3ZNB04/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_okx-tb0C99QWK

These are your two best options for your budget

Nope, this'll do it

u/dunzeod · 1 pointr/buildapc

If you aren't going to be gaming, then you don't need that powerful of a graphics card to run premiere. I would recommend going with a 270x, and opt for 16gb of RAM. The reason I say this is that when I render videos, it takes all the RAM I can throw at it. This would set you better than a more powerful graphics card.

Also, about graphics cards: I've heard a lot of shitty things about PowerColor. I know that it probably isn't all warranted true, but I'd still be wary. I would look at [These used ones] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00I0D81OG/ref=sr_1_3_olp?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1412118038&sr=1-3&keywords=r9+270x&condition=used) and pick from those. Sapphire is one of the best manufacturers for aftermarket coolers, and Amazon sellers are very reliable in terms of used products.

I'm unfortunately new to the mining thing so I'm not sure what undervoltage means, I'm guessing it means using less power in some way?

What do you mean by this, exactly?

u/v3ra1ynn · 1 pointr/litecoinmining

Just purchased 4, thank you. One thing I'm curious about: The model number on this card for Newegg is different than the model number on Amazon. I'm pretty damn sure they are the same cards though. Can anyone explain?

u/rugerty100 · 1 pointr/dogecoin

Bandwidth requirements for mining is very insignificant. Your line is enough.

If you want to buy a graphics card for mining, purchase the R9 270. This card hashes very well, the only con is that it requires a ton of power, which isn't a con for you.

To be honest, you can't make money without money, and 30 days is most definitely not enough time to make back your costs unless you somehow mine an up-and-coming coin by accident.

New Motherboard: AsRock 970 Pro3 ($90)

New CPU: AMD FX-6300 ($120)

New GPU: Radeon R9 270 ($180)

You could also upgrade your RAM, but 4gigs will probably still work fine for GTA V.

u/eraofbears · 1 pointr/buildapc

i see... yeah i just jumped on the first r9 270 i saw... so the 2 gb would be a good place to start? thanks man for the time you are looking into this

so this one then?

I need help choosing a video card. I don't have a large budget. I'm hoping to play Skyrim, Dishonored, and Bioshock Infinite on these. I don't overclock my hardware, so I don't worry about that. I also only have one monitor, and I don't plan on getting a dual monitor setup in the future. I used to own a AMD Radeon HD 6870, but that shorted itself out.

MSI AMD Radeon R7 265

Sapphire Radeon R9 270X

SAPPHIRE DUAL-X 100370L Radeon R7 265

Would these be compatible with my system? Would these give me better graphics than my old Radeon 6870?

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-2600K Processor

Power supply: Corsair TX750

Heatsink: Coolmaster Hyper N520

Body: Antec 300 Illusion

RAM: 8GB

I may have some information up there that isn't relevant, but I don't know much about computer hardware.

u/jkangg · 1 pointr/buildapc

I just found the 6 pin cable that I needed woo hoo! Looks like I'm going to be buying this: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Version-PCI-Express-Graphics-11220-00-20G/dp/B00I0D81OG/ref=cm_cd_ql_qh_dp_t

I should only need 1 6pin right?

Thanks so much for your help!

u/mkdhdh · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

a 300w PSU is probably not enough. let me check.

from my quick googling i found that for low budget GPU's the radeon R9 270 for 170$ would be best.

if you want an nvidia card, the 750Ti is a decent price as well

and as far as teh PSU goes you can find 400 (which is what you need for this GPU i think) or more watt psu's for under 30$ from whet i'm seeing here. i would save up and get one that's a bit higher so you dont have to worry about upgrading it.

u/Cyeric85 · -2 pointsr/buildapc

I had a old 550ti and I just upgraded to a EVGA 750ti for 159.99 (they have a superclocked version for 169.00). Not having a 6 pin connector threw me off ( I thought i forgot a part lol) but under full load I am only pushing about 50w. I run TitanFall at 50-60 FPS on high BF3/BF4 on high Ultra at 45-50, BL2, SC2, Diablo 3, DayZ all at Ultra or Equivalent all this at 1080i. It was a massive power boost for a cheap price and I belive the benchmarks are the same or better then a 270x or 660ti.

Edit: The 750ti looses both benchmark tests against the 660 and the 270x but if power consumption is an issue a card which only pulls 50w fully loaded isnt bad. 750 was closer to the 270x

plus if budget is an issue also:

just a quick amazon search and I found the other 2 cards were more expensive.
