You can check out some of my older posts. I had top surgery May 2013. I used something similar to this until it ran out about 3 months post op. I haven't done any scar treatment since except use sunscreen on the extremely rare occasions I'm shirtless outside.

Huh, that is really interesting! Thank you for sharing! I freaked out when I saw your comment b/c egg whites on burns is commonly recommended Internet advice, even for open wounds b/c it supposedly "blocks out air and bacteria". I was wary that you were recommending egg whites for open wounds. However, egg whites and yolks are common ingredients in DIY masks, although egg whites can sometimes be too drying/constricting. Glad your scar healed up well! Is the scar completely gone now?
Idk whether you have access to it, but I've used scar gel. Mederma is a popular choice but I got this. Used it on a few scrapes on a face and had a friend use it on a gash on her eyelid. Awesome results for both of us, the scars are utterly undetectable.
