Nobody with a minimum knowledge of the reality would say this.

I could give you a thousand examples. Or you could also read the experts: Scots and Catalans: Union and Disunion

For instance the fact that the Civil Code of Spain, which has its origin medieval Castilian law, applies in almost all Spain, from Andalusia to Madrid. But it doesn't apply to Catalonia, where the Civil Code of Catalonia applies instead, which has its origin in medieval Catalan civil law.

There are many differences like this. For instance with the Spanish police, which operates throughout Spain except in the places that have their own police for historic reasons: Basque Country, Navarre and Catalonia.


As you can see, the relationship with Aberdeenshire doesn't make much sense.
