Get the silicon type, small size. You will never have a problem again. I can't wear those because I have super thick hair and it rips on it, but if you have slippery hair they should be perfect.

What been a godsend for me has been the scrunci no-slip jelly hair ties. They never stretch out and the silicone material and texture really makes my hair stay in place. I have that heavy, silky Asian hair and normal black hair ties always slip out. But a word of caution is that you have to be careful pulling your hair out lol.

I have super fine/slippery hair and these guys do a great job of staying in my hair, and they have no point where ends attach to each other, so they're not that easy to snap. They come in packs of just black if you're not into the bright jelly colors!
I only use these. They don't break (often) and don't get lose and don't slip.

I use an all rubber hair tie. Slips over mirror when not needed, and since it's black, blends in on my black bike. They have color if wanted.
At first, I tried the X-Grip on my iphone 6, but it would press my volume button. Used it for about 1000 miles and it never got loose as long as I properly positioned it, but I kept worrying about it. Always looking at it. Not liking volume button being pressed I considered trying different size X-Grip, but decided to go with the RAM cradle instead. I never worry about it at all. I do still use the hair tie on it "just in case".
My use, X-Grip is solid, but if you insert too high or low it could move. That is a mistake that could be made. The cradle has a confident "click", and there's no doubt it's in.
These are the only ones that have ever consistently worked for me for normal wear and these are the only ones that worked for running. I cut off all my hair last December so it's a non-issue now!
