Unfortunately sounds like a bad drive. And from what I've seen in the reviews of the ST1500DL003, there are a lot of issues with these drives. Amazon Reviews
If the drive is under warranty you shouldn't have any problems getting it replaced. Shouldn't.

32 GB Ram, SSD (Awesome for dual boot), 1.5 TB HDD, Intel I7 3770k with Liquid Cooling, and a 7.1 audio sound card! This build should be pretty kick ass and just goes over 1500 by 25 dollars!
