There are any number of these type of headphones. You just want to make sure your TV doesn't have only headphone jacks. You want digital audio out jacks. We can mute our TV or turn it way down and turn our headphones up as much as we need, these are wireless. The base is plugged into the digital audio out, the headphones themselves are wireless.

We have another tv with the headphone jack that you have to set the tv to have the internal speaker muted at all times as long as the headphone jack is in. (The cheapest TV he could buy with cheapest wall mount. You have to lift the tv off the mount to plug or unplug the headphone jack. The big tv, we can leave the headphones plugged in all the time.)

Sennheiser has something for this. It takes the optical output from your cable box, so the surround sound will still work. Also, please post in the purchase sticky:

They probably won't sound as good as the HD598 (I've never tried their wireless phones though). Getting quality sound with wireless is pricey.

do you mean bluetooth or RF? because bluetooth latency is not great for gaming and ~$200 will get you an this RF setup

I'm missing more than half the sound on my Odyssey because there is just no way I get the speakers to reach my ear canals when the front of my headset is where it needs to be for optimum visuals. I think I'll cut mine off too. Does anyone see any reason why these headphones would not work as a replacement?

Advice: Gaming and Movie/Music: Headphones

I am looking for two headphones.
a. Gaming with Mic
b. Wireless for Movies, Music. Wireless as I want something that I can wear while moving around my room.

I'll be honest with you, the difference isn't world-shaking, but certainly audible. Especially once you've heard a decent headphone and directly compare the two.

There's a reason why any headphone chasing audio quality doesn't use Bluetooth or wireless in general. However, if you're willing to give up 30% of audio for the added convenience, it's up too you. As well, you'll pay more for a Bluetooth headphones than a regular.

These are my favorite wireless headphones I've personally tried. They are on the higher end of pricing though. A cheaper set of Sony's is still great too. If you are looking closer to the $100 area, my brother has these and likes them a lot. If you really want to go cheaper at first though, Unbox Therapy did a review on these and really like them

I want the sennheiser RS 175s. Everything about them seems pretty great, but I'm not really much of an audiophile, and almost $400 after tax is a bit steep, for me.

I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with these. I'm primarily worried about latency, a millisecond or two is fine but much more than that and it'd be a pretty big problem. Also, do they have an option to be wired? I'll probably be buying them, but I'd appreciate any other options.

I am in the market for 2 wireless headphones with a base that has an optical input. I'm looking to add good options so I can buy them on sale (especially today on Amazon, since it's prime day). To be clear, we need 2 headphones to work simultaneously with a single base.

So far I've found two options on Amazon where I can buy the system along with a second headset:

Requirements for Isolation - Used at home. Flexible but we often use these when the kids are asleep so we prefer to not have too much noise coming out of the headphones.

Past headphones - They ones I'm looking to replace were Turtle Beach X4. I've also used iPhone earbuds, Astro A40s and Monprice 8323 (when it didn't include a mobile mic line) which kind of hurt my head.

Preferred Music - Mostly pop, rock, 80s, 90s, and a little country. Generally kid-friendly so not so much rap or hip-hop

What would you like to improve on from your set-up - What are you looking for going into your next headphone? More bass? More detail? More treble? - Just want 2 decent wireless headphones that aren't held together with tape. (Connectivity to a PS4 would be a bonus nice-to-have.)

I belive that one thing you sent is DUAL, RX and TX so you buy two, and pair them.

Yep! The PC Part Picker list has them listed, but they're Sennheiser RS 175's. I VERY much like the sound quality after some adjustments with APO Equalizer and the Peace UI, but it's not necessary. What I DON'T like it if you have kind of a cone-ish shaped head then it can hurt after extended use because there's no padding at the very top due to the charging slots. I just got a Sennheiser RS 175, and so far I've been appalled at how awful the build quality is. What really bothers me is the ear pads though: they feel super flimsy and cheap. A low-end headset I had before this has way better ear pads. I looked at third-party pads, but there isn't a huge selection, and they're all duplicates of the originals. There's the velvet option, which I hear are more comfortable, but I don't want to sacrifice noise isolation (used in an office setting).

Any suggestions for what I can do?

I got some bose companion fives as a present. Know anything about these headphones?
