My order just arrived for that other set, and decided to follow up with a quick side by side.
The ones on the left is the new set and my old set is on the right. All of the narrow and small brush heads are interchangeable with both handles. The large brush heads only work with the large end of the double ended handle.
The attachment point holds pretty solidly. I have not yet tried how the new brush heads perform during makeup application. I am pretty happy with the weights and dimensions, and will probably move my current travel retractable blush and powder brushes to my gym bag.

I didn't weight the small eye brush heads separately since my scale doesn't have the accuracy.
I'll probably mix and match from here, but I still need to figure out a good and not messy way to carry them though.
I also picked up the magnetic Sephora brush wand, but wasn't too impressed. The hold doesn't feel as secure, almost as if it's going to split during use. I'll try it in my gym bag, but it's never going into my travel bag. It has a sponge, liner, smudge, and crease brush with an added cap at 21g.
