DO NOT buy vans cleaner from the website. That one will fade the colors (like the black in these). MGK has worked wonders on my Vans and other shoes too.
So I've owned three pairs of the Roshe Ones and I wear them all the time.
My last pair lasted about 8-9 months of consistent wear. I'll say that these shoes will last/look good for much, much longer if you invest in some sort of sneaker cleaner. I use Shoe MGK, but there are others for sure.
The set I got came with a bottle and a small brush. With about 5 minutes of cleaning I could restore them to a like new condition. I do this for all my sneakers, and it really can help with longevity.
The biggest factors to consider:
1.) Color: Mine are black on white so easier to clean. I'd imagine very light fabric would be trickier. The black/black/white sole is the way to go anyway ;)
2.) Where you walk: I live in TX, so it's pretty dry and I don't have to walk in snow. If you trek to work or school in shit weather everyday they are obviously going to wear out quicker.
