I can't find the original reddit post, but another user basically inspired me. You make the proxies in photoshop, nice and high res. Then you print them onto clear sticker paper like this. Afterwards you have to blank a foil with acetone (lots of videos on youtube about this) and simply cut out the proxy and stick it on!

I use a crystal clear coat finish on top of the sticker sheet though just because the ink sort of sticks on top of the plastic. Makes it look better in sleeves and protects it from fingerprints/smudging.

Printed on transparent sticker paper and sticked on a acetone'd foil card. Not really breaking new ground here but the results came out crisp.

Edit for some questions:

I will probably not be releasing any digital images for various reasons. The paper used is this but im sure that any clear sticker paper will work.

I'm planning on printing these on transparent sticky paper, like this https://www.amazon.com/Silhouette-Printable-Clear-Sticker-Paper/dp/B00B9Q9QY0

Then putting them on foils with faces peeled off from rubbing alcohol. The depth will be similar, and if they're too thick you can always take an exacto knife and cut the back off of the card and sleeve them.

I've had this link saved for a while since someone posted a full art foil black lotus. You can make your proxies on this and stick it to acetoned foils and it turns out pretty well. Not super extra thick and not noticeable if you double sleeve the non proxies

Silhouette Printable Clear Sticker Paper is what I use, for $5.69. You can get it for $4.63 as an add-on item if your order is at least $25 without them (so if you have to buy something else, you get this cheaper). I've only done this twice, and the first time I was using a Staples brand of thin window decal paper. This stuff is thicker, and the colors seem to print better on it, so I'm sticking with this.

Just be sure to get some varnish, otherwise the ink will smudge with your fingers due to moisture/body heat, even after it dries. Personally, I use Krylon brand varnish with a "Silk" finish - it's a mix between matte and gloss...so it's not too shiny, not too matte. I think it looks especially neat on foils, so that people aren't going to mistake them for REAL cards, but it offers a neat effect when double sleeved in my cube.

Let me know how it works out, or if you need any help. I've got about a week's worth of troubleshooting and practice, and getting better, lol. 100 foils done so far!

What kind of bullshit is "doesn't do mail?" I'd just cut him out of the loop.

...but if you're going to play along with him, you could have him scan in an image of his signature and then print it onto [some sort of clear sticker paper](https://www.amazon.com/Silhouette-MEDIA-CLR-ADH-Printable-Clear-Sticker/dp/B00B9Q9QY0).

PS - Reddit *really needs to fix the markdown/WYSWIG switch*. I'm getting tired of this fucker not working.

I haven't tried this before but it might be worth a try.

This is what I've bought. Just print on it like regular paper, you do have to cut it by hand.

Edit: If you want to do a cool clear design.

I love these, I might pick up something like this, in order to stick them on plastic to make them more durable though. I’m not a fan of burger tokens or the cardboard tokens that come in the starter set, so aside from spending out the wazoo buying antique keys and amber beads on Etsy this is awesome and should only be like $10.

I have tried the transparencies method and printed the image reversed, then glue the image face down but that leaves tiny glue spots on the image and it is another step. I have been using Clear Sticker Paperand it is much cheaper. Sticker paper leaves no marks on the image, but the ink is exposed. I put the cards in a perfect fit sleeve and it is now protected from smudging. The extra benefit of sticker is you can peel the image if you need to and reuse the card.
