I have this. https://www.amazon.com/Sinjimoru-Dashboard-Including-Charging-SinjiCar/dp/B00MLZZ7KA/ Works well and a good angle when mounted on the side of the console wing. I did add a little padding to the bar under the phone so the phone rests on that instead of just being held by the plug.
Not sure about best placement options, but I use this mount in all my cars, and it’s fabulous. It even works with my case on. Route the cable behind trim, and it looks really nice.
The 3M adhesive pad is strong yet still removes after years without leaving a mark.
