Get the Sisu Aero 1.6 mm. They're a little pricey for what they are, and you have to be careful when you're molding them (also, can't wash them with even warm water; I'll rinse with Listerine and cold water). But, you can barely tell that it's there. I would not recommend using it for striking; I read reviews where people said they got their teeth chipped from kicks and punches, so I use a Shock Doctor for kickboxing.
But for just rolling, this is a solid compromise.
