They are worth their weight in gold. They are about $10 a pop, but they last me about a month and a half each if I keep the mouth area clean.

Dryer sheets make less smell, but a Smoke Buddy catches all smell from your exhale. I have had people come over 10 minutes after I smoked a bowl in my living room and they couldn't tell.

A pill bottle is generally good enough but if your stuff is a bit dank you're going to want to get something a little better. I know that when I put my stuff in a pill bottle the smell leaks just enough to be noticeable, but again it really depends on the quality of your dank. I keep my stuff in a TightVac container and it works very well. No smell at all.

That being said, you might want to consider keeping your weed outside your dorm if possible. If you have a car, keep it in there. That way, in the unlikely event you are busted and your dorm is searched, they won't find anything except maybe some paraphernalia.

AVB doesn't have a very strong smell. A pill bottle will work fine, I use a glass jar because it's pretty to watch it fill up.

All vapes produce a different amount of smell, but generally it isn't too bad. Some people claim vapor doesn't smell like weed, but that's not really true. If you're inside and not doing anything to help with the smell, it is going to be recognized as weed. But, if you're outside, the only people that will likely smell it is anyone who walks by right after you exhale. Typically nobody will even care if they do smell it. I have been bitched at once while vaping outside, so some people do care, but I say fuck em. It's outside, having the world smell exactly the way you want is an unreasonable expectation, and vapor is not a pungent enough smell to make a big deal over.

If you want to vape inside you're going to need something to help with the smell. I use a smokebuddy and it works pretty good at reducing the amount of smell that you're exhaling. But, your room is still going to end up smelling if you have a medium to long sesh. Don't fear, this smell is easily countered by a candle or maybe two if you have a really long sesh. I'm paranoid so I also have a wax warmer that I leave running most of the time to deal with any residual smell.

With all that combined, you shouldn't run into any problems vaping inside. My RA actually came by our room (for unrelated reasons, to talk to one of my roommates) last night without me knowing. I was taking huge rips in my room the whole time she was in our living room lol. She didn't mention anything about a "funny" smell so I'm guessing my method must be working well enough.

It should be noted though, that you should absolutely never grind your weed in your dorm. In the 2 years I've been vaping inside, the one time I've had an RA come knocking is when I ground up a decent amount indoors. It smells a lot, magnitudes more than vaping, but you don't even really think about it at the time since you're not getting stoned while doing it.

You're right from a legal standpoint, but most of society has moved on from the marijuana hysteria, so that's probably why you're not seeing it be a big enforcement priority for others. The police will need either consent or a search warrant to bust in there and look for what is probably a small amount of weed.

I would suggest you tone it down a bit and try to have some empathy in your dealings with your neighbors, who may be using it for medicinal or mental reasons. Rather than get angry about it, try some kindness and explain to them that the smell really bothers you, and ask if there's anything they can do to tone it down. Perhaps suggest they only smoke on their patio, or switch to vaping while they're living in the apartment.

Maybe you should get them a reverse housewarming gift: the Smoke Buddy is a favorite among many marijuana users and does a fantastic job at containing the smell. You could explain this to them as being in their best interest to use, since the smell is obviously getting out of the apartment and it's only a matter of time before the cops catch them. When I first got myself off combustion full time, it took me more to get me where I wanted to be. But currently, 1 cap makes me feel good, but I often find myself doing 2 caps max per session.

I have had my dynavap for a good while now, and once I was able to dial it in the way I enjoy, I am still amazed on how much bud I conserve.

Cover the bowl right after the hit, as you said. Just don't use your hand - it burns, bad. Things I use: quarter, zippo, grinder, cardboard, etc.

A blunt is constantly burning, so constantly releasing smoke, and is one of the smelliest ways to smoke, even if you're using a sploof. If you smoke a blunt in your room, it will smell. And on another note, if you're just using dryer sheets in a cardboard tube your sploof will not be very effective. Invest in a smoke buddy if stealthy smoking is a legitimate concern for you. It has a carbon filter that will eliminate any trace of smell. Definitely saved my ass a few times. Ozium is another good thing to have on hand. That shit is the most hardcore air freshener on the planet. You can find it in most gas stations, smoke shops, auto parts stores, or walmart.

When it comes to choosing a pipe is form and funciton. Things to keep in mind when buying pipe are the size of the bowl (where you put your herb), the size of the hole in the bowl, placement of carb cap, and make sure your eyebrows wont get burned when lighting. When it comes to hand pipes i prefer dry pipes (not bubblers) The minuscule amount of water in them doesn't do anything for me and they get really smelly and dirty. I think a small little spoon pipe will do you great! Probably some typos in there but i am really stoned and don't care happy blazing!!

I live in a downstairs apartment and am extremely paranoid about the neighbors smelling & complaining. I've also heard of people making their own air filters out of empty soda bottles & activated charcoal (fish tank charcoal) but I haven't tried it myself. Smoke buddy lasts me about a month of daily use & is only 12$. The vape pen keeps any residual smell from drifting around. Randy's makes one that heats up enough to combust or you can just vape it. Even if you stick with a bowl, I still highly recommend the smoke buddy.

Edit: Extra thoughts - depending on the location of the window compared to where your parents would be, I would blown it out the window. The smell disperses fast in fresh air. But if you do the vape pen/smoke buddy set up, you won't even need to open the window.

Just for the record. I lived in apartment for 3 years that was carpeted. I smoked joints and bongs and never had problems or extra fees when I left. I bought a house and smoke all the time. People come over and have no idea. Marijuana doesn't linger, just the "combustion smoke." I'm not trying to convince you to smoke inside, but if the far end of the spectrum doesn't have any lingering smells, I cant imagine vaporizing hydrocarbons below 400 degrees would create a worse effect.

The purifier takes 3 filters which is what is included in that filter pack i sent. The smoke ones are really good and have a carbon filter backing to them and last about 3 months. The ones that come with it are great for alergens but you might as well toss them if you are trying to get rid of smoke only.

Edit: There is also this Which goes with this. Now this might be overkill, but it will get rid of any smell you have period, cats, smoke, whatever.

I've got a smoke alarm in my kitchen for obvious reasons, and it's never gone off. I use one of these and just always smoke with the oven vent on, I let it run after smoking as well to clear everything out. I've had someone about 10 feet away from my kitchen say they couldn't really smell the weed while I was smoking. Hopefully that works just as well for you.

personally I like the xmax pro V2 (it's not in the video, but it's exactly like a boundless CF with an external battery), and get a smoke buddy to exhale through. you could do that while you're living there, and then when you move out get a bong; get the WPA and use it with bong it's way better

you want a smell proof case (edit as a note the case I have is just a pencil case not smell proof; it's the perfect size if I want to go somewhere cuz it'll hold the vape and two extra batteries and a doob tube. so normally I'll pack the vape, and that's enough for like four bowls) (I like the stuff here, extra batteries if you don't have them, and an external charger eventually.

Well I wouldn't be too worried. If you were everyday, allday, 30 minutes is still a kind of long time for arizer. They have timers on them I think?

Is there a reason you can't smoke inside aside from smell? DO you have any exhausts fans available to you two?(they blow air from inside straight to the outside, usually found in bathrooms) Vaping especially with something like an arizer(imo) the smell can be as strong as weed, but never lasts as long.

Now onto the next point. Carbon filters can be your best friend. They sell some pre made ones for pot smokers, but usually at a place like walmart in the states(anywhere that sells pet fish) has a carbon section and you can get a yuuuuuuuuuuge amount for cheap and throw it into a toiletpaper roll/paper towel roll and blow through and it will NOT smell.

The pot from the pipe itself will and any extra smoke you leave in the glass steams might leak out. But the carbon filter blow through will change your life.

I've traveled around on the train/bus/walking with 1/2 O's- O's on multiple occasions before it was decriminalized. As terrible as it sounds, as long as you're not black or hispanic, you won't have that much of an issue... You'd be smart to get one of those airtight plastic containers from a head shop. But, I've reeked of weed before in public. It's not a big deal. They do have drug sniffing dogs at train platforms sometimes. I've had weed in my backpack. I was fine.

I have never had a run in with the cops from smoking, but if I did, it would be around a $250 ticket.

I'm dumb, but I have smoked joints walking down the street plenty of times. I've even smoked a bowl on a walk with my friend. Nothing has ever happened. I live in a pretty nice part of town though.

You're not going to get a card. Just deal with it. There is good weed around here. We have the strictest laws pertaining to medical marijuana in the country.

Safe areas to smoke is a weird question. A lot of craigslist ad's will have "420 friendly" in them. It's not that trickey. I've smoked in every apartment i've ever had. A ton of people smoke. It's not a thing. I even smoke cigarettes in my apartment now sometimes. No one's complained.

If you're really concerned, get a vaporizer or a smoke buddy. They both work great. I've used both. No smell.

It's a major metropolitan area, weed isn't that high on the concerns. Weed is also really popular in general...

The key to all of this: Discretion. As long as you're not being visual and skecthy about it, you'll be fine.

I can't vouch for if that thing would work but the principle seems the same as smoking in the bathroom with hot water on so the steam/vapor gets rid of the smell. What I do to minimize smell is I use a bong a smokebuddy and an activated carbon bowl adapter. The carbon adapter will purify and take the smell out of the smoke that goes through it because that's what activated carbon or whatever it is does and I always snap my bowls this way the bowl doesn't stay burning and giving off the weed smell. The smoke buddy is the same concept as the adapter it has activated carbon in it and you blow your hit through it to give it a 2nd desmelling. I personally don't use any incense or candles or anything but for your living situation I'd purchase this incense I've read great stuff about it. Good luck and stay safe.

I've never used one, but I've heard extremely good things about the Smoke Buddy. It's basically a hand-held carbon filter that scrubs all the smoke out of your breath when you exhale through it, leaving no smell at all. They're pretty cheap so I'd suggest giving one a shot. You can also pick them up in a lot of head shops if having a thing like that delivered to your house would be a problem.

I believe you're looking for this. All vapes will leave an odor, but if you exhale through this and use a candle, you'll be right as rain.

I take singular, small hits and blow it all out with this contraption, as long as one is careful the only smell will be on your piece and your breath. Candles, airing the room out via a window, and not overdoing it smoking bowl after bowl will help. Get a smokebuddy, one of those fans that is extendable so it can seal into a window, and a second fan to put near the door to help pull in air from outside. Ripped bong in my room 7 days of the week and never got caught. Our RA was known to be pretty strict too.

If your room mate is cool with you smoking in the room, just buy a smoke buddy from amazon. I used it to smoke nearly everyday for a year in the dorms and was never caught. If you want to be extra safe, spray ozium afterwards.

I forgot about incense! I will try that. I don't want to stink up their living room too incense-y either, but maybe I could burn it while I smoke and then put it out. That way if they have some smoke pollution, at least it smells good lol.

I use this and I do put a dryer sheet in it too, mostly just to help keep me from accidentally spitting into the carbon filter though, because you really can't smell anything coming out of the end of the smokebuddy. My problem was mostly like not always getting the swing lid closed over the bowl in time, in your protopipe. Except mine was a flat, thick, piece of glass about 1.5"x1.5". It tamps out the bowl nicely, but I'm like, juggling:

a pipe

trying to tamp out the bowl

and not let any smoke out before I can grab the smokebuddy

Lol I just fail at all that sometimes. So many objects! Incense will totally help though, I'm pretty sure.

I have a collection of about a dozen vaporizers and I'd highly recommend either the Arizer Solo or Arizer Air for their efficiency and relative lack of smell. Or, given that you live in a 'legal' state a quartz domeless nail, small bong, and a creme brulee torch along with some quality BHO is never a bad option (and quite discreet since you're only taking one big hit vs. several smaller ones)

If you're lazy, the smoke buddy does the same thing for 15 dollars at the expense of frugality and DIY. The larger one lets no smoke out if I form a good seal with my mouth, and works for weeks with heavy usage.

Moist towel under the door is extra safety, but those dab pens have very little smell, if it's just you and a friend, so just use one of the methods above and keep your door shut when you puff. If you want to be extra careful, get an inexpensive fireproof safe with a lock to store it out of sight when it's not used. $10-20 should be adequate to make it clear a warrant is needed to search it unless there's a crime in progress, which there won't be if you use either of the methods above. Just write "may contain HIPAA documents" on it with a sharpie, and even police can't mess with it, let alone an RA.

(EDIT) I was corrected, HIPAA is not protected in a dorm typically. But a small safe placed in an unseen location may still be a deterrent for a forced seizure.

Yeah. I always have a backup plan in case I mess up.

I have a smokebuddy next to me all the time and I would advise against using any sprays/candles as it's a dead giveaway, unless you regularly use them.

Now, if you do combust, you really only have the option of hitting it as fast and hard as possible, you need it to cool down ASAP and just chucking it into the tube is the worst idea ever (trust me).

I try to only hit my VC with water filtration cause the last two times I accidently combusted, I just hit it as usual and it was tolerable, but since all the smoke went directly from the cap to my lungs, and ghosting the hit lessens the odor, plus the smokebuddy filtering out the smoke and if you contain that in a small place where any smoke can't escape, like a basement closet, then you don't have to worry about damage control.

Always do a thorough cleaning after you combust. Getting in that habit will make it a lot easier to respect the click.
