This is what my personal lid tek looks like. I drill 3 holes, put one of these in the center as a self healing inoculation port and I put 2 layers of micropore tape on the inside of the lid and the outside. The slight discoloration is from the pressure cooking. After I inoculate the jars, I remove the top 2 layers of micropore tape from one side to increase FAE. If the jars seem to be going slow, I take the top 2 layers off the other one too.
