  • magnesium oxide (worst) -> Not very bioavailable, laxitive
  • magnesium citrate (ok) -> Good bioavailablity, laxitive
  • magnesium glycinate (better) -> Good bioavailablity, not laxitive
  • magnesium taurate (best IMHO) -> Good bioavailablity, not laxitive, best at deilvary to cardiac tissue, also supplies a large does of taurine

    Its worth pointing out low Magnesium doesn't usually show up on a blood (serum) test as the cells in your body will buffer your blood Magnesium (unless you are deathly deficient). The only way to really know is a oral magnesium tolerance test where the patient is given (usually IV magnesium) until they start expressing normal amounts of it in their urine.

    Rather than try to find someone who is willing and able to give the test, I would recommend just taking magnesium. Make sure you take a decent kind magnesium oxide is worthless, magnesium citrate is OK, ideally you should take a chelated magnesium.

    The chelates are more bioavaialbe and not laxative. The type of chelate influences where it ends up in greater concentrations in the body.

    I take Magnesium Taurate for my cardio tissue once a day [1], and Magnesium Glycinate once a day to target my skeletal muscle [2].

What type of magnesium are you taking? Regular magnesium you buy in the store won't do shit.

You need to take Magnesium Glycinate (chelated magnesium) Here's some information about magnesium glycinate and mdma + some other supplementation info!

Excellent post.

At times, I do feel a bit depleted when taking adderall XR continuously. The only breaks I give the self are on Fridays and Saturdays. Sometimes, not even once! Only 2 or 3 per month.

I felt that Vitamin D was lacking, that helped a bit. It did not give me some narcoleptic feeling especially int he mornings. I then added Vitamin B, which seemed to fix the issue for long days. However, I did not suspect it to be magnesium.

When I take magnesium consecutively, the next days would feel quite different. 50% of the time, I will be tired, and 50% of the time (added with fish oil) I would feel high in libido.

I believe I get less brain fog when magnesium is in the system. H

I. What type of magnesium would you suggest I take first?

I have only been taking magnesium from nature made, as well as magnesium glycenate

II. What made you not take Vyvanse? Lately, I have been feeling a high push and then, it crashes down 40-60% of the time. I might not have been taking better sleep and brain fog usually happens if it is less than 6 hours (but funny enough, no brain fog if 4 hours and might be the bad cycles I wake up from). This time, with your suggestion, (and after 2-3 hours since breakfast) I have taken vitamin c, and magnesium. I feel quite better. I tend to just eat various foods before sleep, but I believe this might all be solved if I switched to Vyvanse, since I read that it does not really give you a push and this might mean no hard crashes or brain fogs. But I also heard it is less effective

The salt helps the most, but you need the others. You need 5,000 mg of sodium a day, measured out. Salting food doesn't come anywhere near that. The bouillon cubes are purely for the sodium, not the other nutrients. One cube/packet usually has around 2,500 mgs, thus two a day -- bone broth is not salted enough.
