Everyone couple of weeks, someone gives a link to this tape on amazon when it goes on sale, and it seems a lot of folks here are happy with it.

Buy mailers here.

Print postage at a discount through paypal with this link after you're logged in.

Buy a scale to weigh packages if you don't already own one. Even a cheap $10-20 one from amazon or eBay, whatever.

EDIT : The USPS website is good for ordering FREE supplies as well. You'll eventually need small flat rate boxes at least. I wouldn't pay for anything through them, the markup is crazy. Amazon has 6 pack rolls of tape atm for $7 as an add-on item as well.

I tend to use snippings of cardboard I have from boxes and shipments I receive (amazon, ebay, whatever). Make a little book of cardboard to tape the coins/bars in flips or bags inside of. That then goes inside of a bubble mailer. I then tape that up very well, wholly enclosing a shipping label I generate at paypal. I use this tape copiously.

If it goes into a SFRB, or MFRB, I also use strapping tape to seal up the edges and corners.

I have never needed to ship via any method other than USPS thus far.

This is what a lot of us use

Sparco 6 Rolls Sealing Tape, 48mm x 50m, Transparent, Heavy Duty (330ft) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005P7P9M2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_JnmkxbBKGZVGS

I like the sparco tape that's somewhat popular here. Only when they go on sale for $6.99 or $7.99. No way would I pay $15. It's thick and works well enough for me. But I am not a packing tape guru. Some guys need quiet tape, etc. When on sale, these are great. https://www.amazon.com/Sparco-Sealing-Transparent-Heavy-Rolls/dp/B005P7P9M2

I bought this tape from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005P7P9M2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

2 bucks a roll at 164 feet/roll, and it is a little thicker tape. Works great and is a pretty good quality. I will never buy anything else again.

  • bubble wrap
  • packing tape
  • dvd sized poly mailers

Those are the supplies I use most.

Also, every once in a while eBay sends me a $10-15 coupon in my Messages of eBay and I use that to order 100 or so poly mailers and a few bubble mailers in different sizes that I don't already have.

This sometimes goes to $7, but its a little high priced now. It's the best tape out there:

Also, the ebay branded tape is very good. If you get the ebay shipping supplies coupon, you can get a lot of tape for a good price.

I'll warn you: once you pop, you just can't stop.

Heads up [Sparco] (https://www.amazon.com/Sparco-Sealing-Transparent-Heavy-Rolls/dp/B005P7P9M2/ref=pd_nav_hcs_bia_t_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=18C0RCRXDNG1JMYXZZTH) is on sale again at $7.97.

It typically gets posted when its on sale but I figured it wasn't worth a whole post since it's happened several times recently and most people check this thread anyway.

u/gunsashands · 3 pointsr/Flipping

I've been using this tape because I saw it recommended on this sub. It gets the job done! Sometimes it goes on sale for half the price it is now.

Amazon. I like this stuff for the price.

Here doesn't really look predictable at all. It looks like 3 times its gotten cheap, also if you need a lot now, there is a 6 pack of 6 rolls, and amazon is selling them "used" which probably just means that they have some packaging damage for about $60 for 36 rolls, not the best, but still a pretty good price, especially if you need it soon.

Easily the best tape I've ever used, and I've tried a number of different kinds.

They regularly go on sale for $8.99 or sometimes $7.99.

u/picklelady · 1 pointr/Flipping

The Boxery for polybags, bubble mailers, and cardboard boxes .

I also use lots of free packing supplies from USPS priority mail.

I usually buy newsprint and bubble wrap off whoever's cheapest on Amazon Prime or Ebay when I need it.

I buy Sparco tape from amazon whenever it's on sale. Someone here usually puts out a BOLO post when it goes on sale.

u/osirisad · 1 pointr/Flipping

I buy this when it goes on sale:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005P7P9M2/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought it for $6.99 with free prime shipping last time around.

Scotch is great if you're shipping light weight items.

I use http://www.amazon.com/Richards-Company-Package-Sealing-SPR60041/product-reviews/B005P7P9M2

stronger, thicker, longer

I ship 50 pounds regularly and this tape has never failed. Plus it's cheaper per foot.
