Spray Pal is your friend! I thought it was a stupid idea at first but my partner was reallllllly grossed out by the idea of poop water flying all over the bathroom. They bought the spray pal and I have to humbly admit it's awesome. I can spray diapers on full blast from multiple directions and I don't cover my bathroom (or myself) in poop water.
Honestly I don't remember which sprayer we have I think my husband just got an attachment from Menards? It has an extra long hose which is really nice.

I use a sprayer and this method (even though I don't have glow bug diapers) to clean my pocket diapers...I used to use a home made shield but it was so much to juggle and the poop would always still be hiding in the gussets around the legs.
You could try one of these My husband is the same way. He does dishes and I have to mop the whole kitchen and wipe all the water off of the cabinets.
