If you're just looking for an exercise to which you can add weight, do you have the option of adding weight to your pull-ups? A dip belt was one of the best investments I've ever made.

No problem, man. I would get a dip belt. A weighted vest can be cumbersome because it can be a hassle to lug around to the gym and to microload with weight. It could also be hard to breathe in. They are extremely expensive, too. This is the cheapest high quality belt I found that will never break: https://www.amazon.com/Spud-Inc-Belt-Yellow-Strap/dp/B008G3VEVC

The reason why I say "never break" is because a lot of those leather belts break, lol.

I use it and it's great. It allows for so much flexibility in how you adjust the weight against your body because of the decently long chain and two carabiners that come with it. It's comfortable as well. Importantly, I'm still able to maintain my hollow during weighted chin ups.

I put the chain through the plate that I'm using. I then count down to the sixth chain link from the top and hook that link itself onto the carabiner on the left. Then I hook the carabiner on the right onto the left carabiner. It makes for a very efficient set up. I wish I had some pics to show you what I'm talking about. Maybe I'll post pics when I get home or something.

Awesome! I saw on one of the Amazon reviews someone asked if it would be good for someone with a 28" waist, and someone responded and said it wouldn't. I have a 29" waist so I'm just curious if you'd still recommend it? If so, I may go ahead and pull the trigger. Here's the one I'm looking at: https://www.amazon.com/Spud-Inc-Belt-Yellow-Strap/dp/B008G3VEVC/ref=sr_1_14?s=exercise-and-fitness&ie=UTF8&qid=1479567134&sr=1-14&keywords=dip+belt
