FYI: 14500 coins from amazon on sale for 89.99 from 99.99

If you buy 6 of these (14400 C), you will only spend ~65$, saving you ~35$..

what was the bonus pet out of curiosity?

Also, if you're gonna drop $100 on cc, buy a $99 card and get 14,500 cc instead of 5x2400 (12,000). Amazon occasionally sells them for 79.99 too. You can use camelcamelcamel to send you email notifications when they go on sale.

TBH I think the grind vs money system is the real win-win for games.

Those that sub get everything and enjoy it the whole time.

Those that don't want to pay/can't afford to/ etc can invest a lot of time to get limited sub time (say a week every few months, or a month a year?). and need to invest a lot of time filling groups and generally providing living NPCs for sub's benefit.

The game is more crowded, more stuff is happening to entertain subs and earning CC via in-game activities makes it more enticing for subs to do group activities too.

For instance. Say a monthly sub costs 5000 CC - thats ~$35 so over 2x what a sub normally costs, based on the best deal on CC... so it's still far wiser to buy a recurring sub if you'll want to spend money on the game.

You can earn a few (3-5?) CC doing group activities; flashpoints, a CC could drop off a WB, as an additional boon for doing a planet worth of heroics in a group, SF could drop 2 and so on.

Subs would do it if they want to save up for unlocks/packs/whatever and supplement their monthly grant without adding more money.

Pref would do it to slowly grind up to the 5k month sub pass, or a 1,500 CC week sub, or just perks.

Non-endgame would become lucrative agian, with an emphasis on grouping and group activities (we already have solo achievements that give a bit of CC, and solo players don't really add to the MMO experience).

If you can I recommend getting the 14,500 pack from Amazon if you haven't already. Comes with a minipet too.

Try Amazon instead, it has the best Deal that isn't always available in Game. 14500 coins for $99 -- Per penny spent is 1.45 cartel coins getting 6% more per penny for your money spent -- http://www.amazon.com/Republic-Cartel-Coins-Exclusive-Online/dp/B00NFZZN18/ref=sr_1_3/178-0490041-4496252?ie=UTF8&qid=1415053602&sr=8-3&keywords=cartel+coins

To "buy" 60 million credits you'd want to buy let's say 15 black/black dyes from the cartel market. 15 black/black dyes assume you resell them for no less then 4 million credits each on the gtn. Black/black dyes are 1600 Cartel coins.. which is 24000 coins for 15 of them. That's $180 worth of cartel coins if you buy them on Amazon (1x 14,500 card, 1x 5,500 card, and 2x 2,400 cards if I did my math right.)

Of course you could buy fewer black/black dyes... wait 3-4 months when there are fewer black/black dyes on the GTN and the price goes back up to around 10 mill. However, in 3-4 month the price of the lightsaber might go up.

It's also worth noting that as a f2p player, you have a credit cap. To get even a million credits, you'd have to be a subscriber.

You can get it on Amazon still and you get a free rancor mini-pet with the purchase.
