This is a motherboard standoff - it's a tiny nut with a screw in the end of it, it screws into your case, your motherboard sits on it, and then a screw goes through the motherboard to hold it down to the case.

Most cases come with them already installed, however you must check that they're in the correct location. I forget what the exact configurations are, but if you have them in one situation, and you put a larger board in, sometimes there's one installed where there is no screwhole in the board, and if it's near or on a pin from your motherboard, that pin gets grounded. If it's a thing that ought not to be grounded, there's a good chance that motherboard is ruined the second you put power to it.

Most good cases will be stamped with letters next to each hole, for example my kid's Corsair SPEC 04 case has "M" and/or "A" next to each hole to denote whether it's for mATX or ATX. If your board is mATX, you want a standoff in every hole that has an M next to it. Then inspect the board to make sure there are no standoffs where there isn't a screw hole, and you're all set, nothing to worry about.

TL;DR: Too many standoffs means there's a chance you could spark your motherboard. Too few, and it's not properly supported - you can break something pushing a connector down, or you can bend the board down so it sparks.

Get some standoffs that fit your holes. They look like this. Nylon or conducting is up to you. If conducting, make sure you are not shorting anything.

They look like standoffs. We use these (but much much smaller obviously) to lift the motherboard from the case so there's no metal-touching-metal.

I recommend ordering some standoffs especially since your ATX board will need more.

Apparently, I assumed all cases came with standoffs, some cases only come with designed standoffs. As in the little nipple looking area is considered a stand off :/ Also your case should come with 3, I googled a preview/opening box video.

I say protect your investment and get some standoffs and if I'm right 6 at least. Copper if you can.

I was always told by my instructor to always use standoff to avoid shortening out your mobo.

I've used StarTech 6-32 standoff screws before, which are $4.71 for 15 on Amazon.

Not sure that they fit the exact 7mm height you're looking for, but they fit perfectly in an old case of mine that I was building up before reselling. No more lying around, sadly.

Uhhh. That is odd. You can contact the manufacturer and ask them if they normally just send out 3 standoffs with that model; or you can just buy some more since they're not too expensive. Either way I wouldn't want just three.

It could of been a mis-packing.

And would have come with your case. You have to put those in the screw holes in the case that line up with your motherboard first.

Also, if it's only one, can you not just support the mobo while you plug your gpu in, and when you screw the gpu into its mount just let it hang, there should not be too much pressure on the mobo?

Prime95. It should at least point you in right direction.

EDIT: You could also try asking for diagnostics in some local computer shop. They'll check every part of your pc independently to be sure.
EDIT2: You have ATX mobo- do you have brass standoffs (https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-Brass-Motherboard-Standoffs-Computer/dp/B00213KL5I) for every hole? Check if screws aren't too tightly fit. I've read (when trying to fix my own BSODs) that these can cause every kind of problem. You could also try using PC without GPU for a while.

Do you have pictures of the case without the board? Some cases have the standoffs pre-installed. The standoffs look something like this. They sit between the board and the case, then you use other screws to screw the board into the standoffs.

Can you take some pictures?

You should be able to at least boot with that PSU, as it appears to be a standard ATX power supply.

Some things to check:

  • There should be 2 connections between the PSU and the mobo. A wide 24 (20+4) pin and a smaller 8 (4+4) pin plug.

  • The CPU cooler/heatsink needs to be plugged into the mobo.

  • Make sure that the PSU's switch is on, if it has one.

  • Did you use mobo standoffs? This is very important. Some (usually cheaper) cases are designed to work without them, but they're fairly uncommon.
