A few essentials that really made my life better:

  • A quality mattress. We spend 1/3rd of our lives on them. I didn't realize how beat up my old mattress was until I got a new one. Currently testing a Leesa memory foam and have been getting multi-layered dreams. A lot of my joint pain is going away too. And if you want to splurge even more, get some Flax Linen Sheets. They're expensive but they are top quality in comfort and will last forever.

  • A quality office chair. We spend another 1/3rd of our life in them. I did a lot of research and managed to find a brand new Steelcase Leap chair off craigslist for $350 and really like it. My back feels a lot better and I don't feel like I got hit by a car after a long day of work. People also swear by Herman Miller chairs as well.

  • A quality Showerhead Don't use your crappy stock showerhead that came with your apartment. Spend a little money and treat yourself to a luxury experience every time you get in the shower. It can really make the shower experiences that more amazing. When I was in college, girls would come over just to use my shower. I suggest getting a rainfall head, or one with rainfall + a handheld attachment.

  • Water Filtration People laugh at me when I say I have a filter for my shower, until they see how much nicer it is on their skin and hair. Having a big, whole-house water filtration system means you'll never have to buy bottled water. I live in an apartment though, so I just have a filter for the sink and for the shower.

A few toys that made my life more interesting:

  • Custom Car Stereo System: So many people ride around blasting their shitty stock speakers and never really experience the music the way it was meant to be. If you are a true lover of music and spend time in your car, having a good stereo system will change your life and the way you listen to music completely. Even just changing the speakers can make a world of difference, but when you have full setup, you won't be able to go back.

  • A quality pair of Jeans . There's a special unique experience to be had with raw denim, as it shapes & fades to your body and the way you walk. But for some people it's too much work to take care of. You can also pick up pre-washed jeans that are still of really high quality. You can definitely see and feel the difference in a good pair of jeans, and they last a lot longer too.

  • Update Your Fashion Staples and get stuff Tailored meaning your basics like black/white T-shirts, belts, black coats, sweaters, underwear, socks, jeans, and work shirts. You basically just want to update the quality of those items. So, instead of a shitty pair of Hanes underwear that gets holes and tears in them, maybe get some nicer wool briefs that last longer, or some Under Armor underwear. Update your old GAP hoody and get something with nicer fabric and a better unique fit. Instead of that boxy dress shirt you got from Express, go and buy some high-quality oxfords and get it tailored to fit you perfectly. Have you been carrying around your dirty kids-colored jansport from high school? Maybe it's time to upgrade to something more stylish.

And to completely ignore your question:

  • A spa day We all need one more than we think we do. If you're stressed out, retail therapy only goes so far. Go get yourself a massage AT LEAST 90-minutes long. Soak in the healing waters of a hottub. Get a facial and clean your skin out. Get your eyebrows done and get a haircut.

This one. But I got it "Like New" for about half that price on amazon from MadisonSeating. Best purchase I've ever made in the last 10 years besides my computer of course.

Is it one of those Steelcase chairs?

Ah, I missed looking at that things.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GBUPUOY/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687602&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B006H1QYBA&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1Q6HSJKGYEF2078G8EHB

However, from Steelcases own site, this appears to be legit; yet I still see mentions of Madison Seating. Frustrating.
