If you're interested in investing, the first book I'd read (which I did) would be an accounting book. This was the first one I read, highly recommended. This is another good one as well.
After you have an understanding of basic accounting, I'd read all of Peter Lynch's books, then Neff on Investing, and then try the Intelligent Investor again. Some of the books people are listing here (Klarman's, Security Analysis) are a bit more advanced than Intelligent Investor.
