Not YA, but The Boss series by Abigail Barnett is the alternative I always offer people. It's a feminist, consensual, BDSM relationship, has queer characters, and is very well written. Also the first one is free on Kindle.
I really like Abigail Barnette's Bossverse series. It's BDSM erotica written in response to the popularity of 50 Shades of Grey. (The BDSM elements are more pronounced, and the protagonists are actually respectful of each other.)
I'm not sure if I'm really doing it justice, but I love the series. And the first novel, The Boss, is available online for free. I have it on iBooks and I'm putting Amazon and Smashwords links below.
I really enjoy Abigail Barnette. The Boss is kind of a feminist, sex-positive re-imagining of 50 Shades inspired by her amazing critique of the latter (she is also known as Jenny Trout). I've enjoyed all the other erotica by her that I've read.
The Boss series is pretty popular and has a much healthier relationship than 50 Shades. It has BDSM involved and some of it is much harsher than 50 Shades as well.
The second book gets a little heavy (medical issues) so it can be a tough read.
