This isn't really a helpful comment, and isn't it inaccurate? I thought Sullivan was a conservative?

I'll put in a plug for anything by Andrew Sullivan. He's gay, conservative (although in conflict with what we consider conservatism), Catholic, and British - but he focuses on US politics and society. His book The Conservative Soul helped me understand the modern conservative movement in the US (keep in mind it was published in 2006 - pre-tea party, pre-economic meltdown). I also read his blog daily.
