You can definitely spend a lot of money and get a high quality target. In my opinion, the innova baskets are the best.
I personally, have purchased 6 of the M-14 DGA baskets and am very happy with the quality and ease of transport. They only cost $140 and I have had my first one for about 5 years now without any issues.

I have this and it gets the job done. You could look up a way to build your own.
It's an actual game. Basically what it sounds like, golf but with discs (slightly different from Frisbees, I recently found out, in that they are generally smaller and heavier than the Frisbees people just toss back and forth/to their dogs). There's a spot where you "tee off" and then a few hundred feet away or so is the "hole" which is basically a basket on a stand.
I never really cared about the game before but once I played it I actually thought it was pretty fun. :)
exactly a dollar below the min. I have this one and love it. Comments say you can add chains yourself to try and get a more legit basket. (I have been too lazy to do this)
