Butano SP on the coast is nice and dog friendly.

Basic CA State Park dog info.

Get in the habit of having a copy of your dog's rabies cert. (usually the city or county registration receipt has that info on it) and basic vet info with you when traveling.

Not necessarily camping but helpful CA traveling with dogs book.

Don't forget AAA with their pet book available to purchase. Very handy.

Parks / Beaches: Check out Fort Funston (off-leash hiking along bluff; off-leash beach) or Pulgas Ridge - on- or off-leash hiking; large off-leash area
Food trucks: Off the Grid has a rotating cast of food trucks and they go to several locations in the City, most of them are super tasty!
shopping Stanford shopping center is a very dog friendly, open-air mall. Most of the shops are of the "luxury" variety, though, so it's mostly for window shopping.
Best guide that I've found: Dog lover's companion to California. Super comprehensive.
