That $20 Skyrim is without the DLC. It is $40 for Legendary Edition which comes with all the DLC.

You can buy Skyrim Legendary Edition (Steam account still required) on Amazon for $20 instead, pretty much anytime (it's not a sale):

Initial comment was removed because I used Amazon's "share" link, which is a URL shortener - so there's the normal monster one.

Currently OoS but Amazon sells it for $20

I'm not big into FPS but I like story-based, RPG, and strategy games. I don't know if you'll like any of these but they're worth checking out.

My personal favorites...

URL length doesn't matter if you use reddit code to make a hyperlink like this. Just put the text you want to show in brackets [Skyrim] and then the URL in parentheses (http://whatever-whatever) and don't put a space between the brackets and the parentheses ](

He's better off just buying the Legendary edition rather than each DLC separately

That's pretty standard for the Special Edition. You might be able to get the Legendary Edition for cheaper on Amazon or somewhere else but it will require you to use Steam.

If you try to go cheaper than that, you'll be running into gray markets and scammers and stuff. Try to avoid being scammed.

Right now The Elder Scrolls Anthology is $20 on Amazon, so if you don't have the other games and don't mind waiting for it to ship you can get a really good deal, and as a bonus you get maps for each game. If you have the other games already you could also go with the Legendary Edition for $15, though you don't get the kick-ass maps with it.

u/[deleted] · 3 pointsr/skyrim

If you're concerned about Special edition, you can also but Legendary edition, which is basically just the original with the DLCs for $20.

You buy it on Amazon and get a Steam code then download it and play it through Steam

You can also buy the Legendary Edition and get it. You can get that for ~$20.

Amazon

Walmart

and Humble for good measure

u/HongManChoi · 2 pointsr/patientgamers

You can get the Legendary Edition (physical copy w/Steam activation) for $15 off of Amazon right now. I think the cheapest the LE has gone for on Steam is $12.49. So, if you'd rather not wait for a sale you can get it now for an extra $2.50. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00CJ7IUIQ

Meanwhile in Canada...

$20 for the Legendary version on Amazon. One of the best entertainment per dollar values I have ever seen. Unless that $20 means you will miss a meal, I would highly recommend it.

u/sthgrau · 2 pointsr/skyrim

Thanks to /u/Drew-fish I can say the best deal appears to be through Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Skyrim-Legendary-PC/dp/B00CJ7IUIQ

u/Malorajan · 2 pointsr/GameDeals

No, you can preorder it on the US Amazon here http://www.amazon.com/video-games/dp/B00CJ7IUIQ. It releases 3 days earlier in the US than it does in the UK.

u/coinwin · 2 pointsr/Steam

There is a legendary edition: https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Skyrim-Legendary-PC/dp/B00CJ7IUIQ

And yes it will unlock all the dlc.

u/shellwe · 1 pointr/AdviceAnimals

I tried looking for Skyrim Legendary Edition (the only game I really want) and all I find is this.

http://amzn.com/B00CJ7IUIQ

It looks like they may not have the digital download for it. Guess I will have to get it through steam...

u/Unpossible42 · 1 pointr/skyrim

Not sure why people refuse to believe Legendary edition is only around $20. It's been that way for a bit, only certain places are continuing to over-charge.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CJ7IUIQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That's a link to buy it on Amazon, and it ships from Amazon. It's genuine, and I've bought two (one for the wife), AND it's only $15 (that's $5 cheaper than the one I bought for my wife, and $10 cheaper than the one I got for myself a few months earlier than the last). If you buy some other stuff to make your cart total $35+, the shipping is free.

Doesn't get much better than that.

If you don't want to buy from Amazon, then buy from somewhere that takes PayPal, as PayPal will refund your money if you don't get it or if it's a pirate copy.

(FYI, this is the DVD disc, plus obviously Steam so you can also DL it [after registration] if you, uh, like very slow installs. They also sell a direct DL link, PS3 and XBox360 versions, all cheaper than retail stores)

u/marshallu2018 · 1 pointr/skyrim

Here it is on amazon for $20, but it's out of stock right now. You might be able to get it at Target, which is where I got it last summer for $15, or maybe Walmart.

u/Doidlewok · 1 pointr/Games

Do you have the base Skyrim game?

If you don't, just wait for the legendary edition's release; it's basically Skyrim GOTY edition:http://www.amazon.com/video-games/dp/B00CJ7IUIQ

I don't have Dawnguard, but I have Dragonborn, and I think it is a GREAT DLC, with a sizeable amount of content(They add a new island and there are a fair amount of quests. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Quests_(Dragonborn)

It gets stale once the sidequests and main quest is done though, but it does add 4 new dragon priests, as well as 2 new materials to forge with.

Overall, I say wait for a sale on Dragonborn, but buy it once it does go on sale because it's a really good piece of DLC. If it doesn't go on sale soon, I don't think it would be a really bad waste of $20.

There was another post I commented on earlier today about getting Oldrim. Don't bother getting it from Steam. I looked and it's like $55 or something pretty close to that. I did buy mine on G2A for a little less than $14 but I've heard some bad things on them since. There are a couple of other sites you can buy Oldrim Legendary Edition from

Edit: Bethesda's website: $30
$20
$19 (Disc, though)

Just google "Skyrim Legendary Edition PC" and you'll come across a ton of places to buy it for way less than $55-$60

So if I just went ahead and bought this, then how do I get it on my steam? If you change the platform of the game on amazon there is another choice called, PC online game code. Is it that one? Or just the one labeled, PC. Thanks for the help BTW.

u/Bitmazta · 1 pointr/Steam

So I have the original Skyrim game on my Steam account, but not the DLC. Now I'm looking to get the DLC, but it's not on the store anymore, only with the Special Edition. I have a low power PC so I don't want to sacrifice more performance with the special edition, so I was wondering if the original Legendary Edition physical would be what I'm looking for? And also the UK version is almost half the price, so if I bought that would it be compatible with my US Skyrim license? (Want to keep my saves)

u/1usernamelater · 1 pointr/pcgaming

Those games aren't free, they're leased. If you stop paying you don't get to keep them. And I'm sure the price competitiveness of consoles goes to crap when you have to rationalize in having a vita, a ps4 and a ps3 ( Could build a Nice gaming rig for that price). this also only took 5 seconds to find, so don't try and tell me that games are cheaper to buy on consoles. Also, skyrim is a BAD game to advertise consoles over, it runs horrendously on the consoles with load times long enough for a short nap ( not my words, just observing complaints from actual console users ). That's one of those easy contrast examples of "standard game" -- "Mods" right before you launch into a full PCMR speech.

u/squidthesid · 1 pointr/pcgaming

For those of you interested, Amazon sells a new copy of Legendary Edition for 20 USD (it registers on steam). It's currently out of stock, but it might be back in stock soon.

I believe Walmart and other retailers sell it for 20 USD as well, though it might be hard to find.

u/Braintree0173 · 1 pointr/skyrimmods

Skyrim Legendary edition digital copy from GMG is currently $40, or if you don't mind the wait, a physical copy which can be redeemed on Steam can be found for about $22.

u/Fullskee707 · 1 pointr/skyrim

Yes you can..

PC

xbox 360

xbox1/PS4

xbox 1 is the sole exception since prices seemingly raised upon release of SSE - still not even $60

u/FordBeeblebrox · 1 pointr/AskMen

There ya go

There's no multiplayer, that's the point. It's an RPG, no MMO to be found.

u/Rexutu · 1 pointr/ShouldIbuythisgame

Yes, but get the original Legendary Edition with all DLCs from Amazon for only 18 bucks. It has way more mods, no paid mods, and the modded version will look better than the SE. The disk version includes a Steam key, and I bought that same item from Amazon not too long ago -- it arrived quickly and in good condition.
