Sccording to Kate Millett’s “Sexual Politics,” Germaine Greer’s “The Female Eunuch,” and Shulamith Firestone’s “The Dialectic of Sex, the institution and practice of marriage and the nuclear family is awful and should be dismantled. And since these books were written the number of two parent households has indeed plummeted. Forty percent of American children are now born to single mothers. This rate of non-marital births, combined with the nation’s high divorce rate, means that around half of all American children will spend part of their childhood in a single-parent home.

>dude, that's insane. you're seriously comparing feminism to the institutional racism in the US that caused the need for the civil rights movement?

Those in power, were people. Those people were racist. Racist people, with power, create racist policy. Feminists with power, create feminist policy. Feminist policy, is sexist and misandrist.

>for starters, say what you will about feminists, but feminism is not based on the idea that men are lower beings so it's cool to deny them rights when we feel like it.

Germaine Greer, " The Female Eunuch
"& other seminal "feminist" texts disagree, including the women centers in many colleges. "Men, are defective women born incomplete and thus inferior." Men are all potential rapists, and should be treated as such. etc.

>feminists don't go around lynching men.

False rape accusations, child molestation accusations, domestic violence accusations. The McMartin trial is a fantastic example of this.

>feminists "fight" most often for equal rights.

Like in Divorce, child custody, the draft, and domestic violence policy? ... nope. They're suspiciously absent there. Feminism fights for the good rights, and not the nasty ones which bear burdens and responsibilties.

>feminists don't embrace hatred as a justification of violence.

See Greer, feminist written works, feminist policy, feminist reactions. Barbara Ehrenreich, a stauch and vocal feminist not unlike a political speak of a party is very open to violence and advocated that the Lorena Bobbit trial was a great thing, yet showed a laughable cognitive dissonance when she was put to question if the roles were reversed, would it have been acceptable to mutate a woman's genitals she got upset. She pushed for feminist to take on a "Beyond Bitch" attitude to succeed.

Violence need not shed blood to be violent either. The encouragement of false rape claims/regret sex is a form of social violence, encouraged and nourished by feminism.

>i just think that the example is not merely an exaggeration of analogous themes, it has completely different meaning and cannot at all be considered a similar situation.

I think you're trying to protect this noble ideology of feminism you have and are simply wallowing in denial. Keep reaching for straws, you'll eventually run out. Have you seriously sat down and tested your faith of feminism to reinforce it, or simply used social proof to validate your belief in something hoping it to be true?
