You should buy the books and comics.

"Flash: Haunting of Barry Allen" is really good and it's a crossover with Arrow!!

Also just this week the follow-up to that book was released, it's called "Arrow: A Generation of Vipers"

Both are written by the same people and it's actually really good unlike some book tie-ins to stuff.

You can also read the The Flash: Season Zero comic, almost all of it is actually canon, meaning if something happens in the comic it took place in the TV-show. It's just a few issues that isn't canon.

The Season Zero comic takes place in between episodes in season 1, and the Haunting of Barry Allen takes place a couple of episodes into season 2.

> do any of you have any TV show suggestions for me to start?

If you haven't watched it already, Smallville!! It's fantastic. Although the VFX will be crap, especially in the beginning compared to The Flash. But it's the story that matters and it's so good.

The Flash Season Zero is a comic that literally has the CW version of the Flash. But as a long time comic Flash fan I highly recommend getting him into other Flash comics like the ones others have already recommended. A great starting point for new readers is Flash Volume 1: Lightning Strikes & it's super affordable so you can also gift some subsequent volumes.
