What /u/steve626 said. Also, I'd recommend websites like Cornell's All About Birds (for North American birds), Bird Families of the World, Avian Taxonomy in Flux, and Tree of Life. They will help you with basic taxonomy and often have links to information about anatomy, behavior, ecology, and conservation.

The internet is your friend. Even starting with Wikipedia is super handy; for example, their page on bird anatomy is a great primer. Follow the sources, or look up any term that piques your interest.

The Inner Bird is probably the best book out today about bird anatomy. It isn't flawless, the DNA stuff is a bit dated by now, and there aren't enough illustrations, but it is absolutely packed with anatomical information! If you can find it at your library or for a discount somewhere, it's well-worth picking up.

SORA allows you to browse through a wealth of technical literature on birds.

... and that's a good start. I'll add things if I remember any other good sources.
