One thing that I think hurts this comparison is that the price on TLOU launched high, but if you didn't want to pay that much you could simply wait a little while and get it cheaper. With a little patience you'd be all set to get it at a price you deem fair. That strategy doesn't work with many Nintendo games. Actually, TLOU: Remastered and MK8 both launched near each other. I wonder what their price history looks like...

You can see a pretty stark difference. TLOU got as low as $10 and MK8 only ever got down to $42. TLOU was also frequently at $30 or less. That doesn't even cover the much more frequent Playstation digital sales.

And I remember paying $50 for TLOU Remastered at launch.

Far Cry (Blood Dragon, 3, 4) and Destiny are fun for FPS. The Last of Us is a no brain-er, everyone who owns a PS3/4 should have that game. (It actually just went on sale for $30 on Amazon. Dying Light and The Order 1886 are some recent games that I've been enjoying too.

Be sure to pick up The Last of Us Remastered. It's only $18 right now on Amazon and worth every penny. Easily the best game I've played in 10 years.

The 'zombies' are actually not zombies, R3mmel. They have been infected by the Cordyceps Brain Infection (CBI) and are still alive, but aggressive because of the way the virus infects their brains and motor systems. Just wanted you to know this. +1 for Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War, and Persona 5, though I didn't like Bloodborne as much as the Dark Souls games, and can't really comment on the others...

I never had a PS3 and don't like skipping things (especially in a heavily story-based series), so I'm still working through the Nathan Drake Collection before tackling Uncharted 4, and probably won't be playing The Last of Us Part II until I can track down a cheap PS3 or until they make a PS4 remake of the first game (EDIT: Oops, that already exists! What rock have I been living under?)...

Seconding the suggestions of The Last Of Us and the Uncharted series. Both are great and a good narrative and solid gameplay.

2013-2014 Almost all PS4 users got Last of Us for free in a bundle/voucher and those who didn't care for the game were selling them at sub $15. Anyways its mid 2016 and Amazon has the game for $20 upfront, imo I'd just go for that.
