You should read The Little Prince. It is a really good story about the silliness of grownups and realization of what's important in life.

Not only that, they completely misrepresented the nature of the award! The prestige and honor of receiving the Abel Prize is worth every bit and likely more mention than the money alone.

Nobel Prize winners receive cash too, but you don't see people writing "Hey, this guy won a million dollars!" It's, hey, this guy won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

By refusing to promote the name, they turn an interesting academic subject into pitifully common clickbait, and do a huge disservice to the public regard for academia.

You would have to say to them: "I saw a house that cost $20,000." Then they would exclaim: "Oh, what a pretty house that is!"

See thats how they get you! You'll be floating along with your buddy Dory when suddenly you see a pretty light, then Slam you're fish food. Mean while I'm on the moon I have no need of oxygen, I will cease to age. I'll sustain myself on dull gray rocks and wait for my intergalactic homies the Anunnaki to show up. Also The Little Prince and I will be so tight that when he swings around every 50,000 years or so we won't even speak, just give each other a stern faced head nod.
P.S. I see what you did there "Sea of tranquility" very nice.

The Little Prince - one of my all time favorites. Short read and deep.

I agree with the OP. for me it was The little prince I read this book when I was young and thought yeah ok just a book.

but when I was 23 I read this book again and it was simply wonderful. this book should be read and owned by every adult in the world. it's philosophy is beautiful. it really does describe the changes we go through when we become adults. how we simply start worrying about numbers and figures and stop seing the essence in things. it's a must read book for all redditors if you are over 20.
