Thanks! Honestly I practiced exclusively for the logic games section. I gave up on studying for the other sections within a week of buying my first practice book - just drill them like you've never drilled anything before, so that you don't get the 'wait, how can I diagram this?' shock that can kill you from the starting gate when approaching a problem. I didn't have a particularly sophisticated routine to study with, frankly that was it - I'd strongly recommend the published LSATs as your main if not exclusive resource once you've had a basic introduction to diagramming (this was mine,) but would be happy to answer any further questions.
When I started out I used The LSAT Trainer book and one of the study schedules on the lsat trainer website. I like working from a syllabus, and these ones worked fine.

I've studied a little for the GMAT. It's frustrating for me because there's some math stuff that I haven't used in 20 years, and I'm stuck around a 49 or 50 quant. I bat about a 770 overall on the strength of my verbal section, but it kills my ego to be in the 83rd percentile on the quantitative section.
The nice thing about the LSAT compared to the GMAT is that there are a ton of real official practice tests around, so you don't have to study from some prep company's made-up materials. The bad thing about the LSAT is that the test is only administered four times a year, so you have to prepare on a deadline instead of calling up the test center and taking it whenever you're ready.
