I sympathize. I had two early miscarriages waiting for doc appts and by the third positive, I was a wreck. I bought this book, Panic Free Pregnancy, that helped somewhat. The author (a doctor) put it into perspective that early pregnancy is really out of our hands. There is nothing we can do other than to be healthy for the baby. Not sure why but reading that helped me to realize I couldn't do much other than to try and relax. But also posting here or venting to a close confidante helps!

The Panic-Free Pregnancy doc says most of his (middle-class, well-nourished) patients don't need a multivitamin, and since they can cause nausea and constipation, he recommends taking folic acid by itself.

I just bought The Panic Free Pregnancy by Michael Broder and love it. According to Amazon:

>While most pregnancy books only address the stages of the baby's development, The Panic-Free Pregnancy comprehensively covers the lifestyle issues and questions that confront every mom-to-be. Dr. Broder separates fact from fiction, media hype from old wives tales, and drawing on the latest scientific research offers an accessible, comprehensive reference book that answers questions about...

>Organized in an easy-to-use question-and-answer format, this book will help women have the safest, healthiest, most anxiety-free pregnancy possible.

It really helped me to not get so anxious over everything, because he explained the research (or lack thereof) behind common practices and recommendations for pregnant women.
