Reading A Scavenger's Guide to Haute Cuisine.

American Hunter Steve Rinella spends a year hunting, fishing, and gathering exotic ingredients to cook 47 courses from August Escoffier's 1903 cooking tome Le Guide Culinaire, the Bible of French Culinary Master Chefs.

From hunting sea rays in Florida, snapping turtles, pigeons (squab), etc, it's insanely engaging and entertaining.
