To be fair, communists do ignore bourgeois ethics; in which the fundamental and paramount principle is sacredness of the right to privately appropriate socially produced wealth. Fuck that shit.

Alternatives to bourgeois ethics for anyone who is interested:

>And it sucks how often the assholes are ahead. It's because they'll cut corners and play dirty where good people won't. It only reinforces the idea that being a dick is the only way to get anything done in life.

Their morals and ours is a book by Trotsky which talks about the downfalls of the "good person" mentality. Like when your employer is fucking you so hard but you refuse to fight dirty because you agreed to their terms or something silly like that. Sometimes you have to bend your morals to go against the powerful "bad people."

For instance, if a bank drops a bag of money. The "good person" will return it, right? Now take into account that banks actively fight against the people's best interest every day. It's completely okay to take that money from them, because if you "do the right thing," they won't change, they'll just keep getting ahead to your detriment. They won't say, "Joe turned in this bag of money, let's not charge him an overdraft fee for going over in his account $.02." No, they'll keep fucking you.

In essence, Utopian moral ideals don't always work well in the real world. Sometimes the right thing to do is to lie, cheat and steal in order to even the playing field.
