I'm going through it right now. Still very new (white belt sans stripes) but after a few months of training it got to the point I was losing grip strength during rolls and my arm would be shot half the day after a morning class. I went to the Orthopedic and he did x-rays and an MRI and found some minor tendon damage but nothing extreme and I've started rehab and haven't rolled in about 2 months.

I've been using a Thera Band Flexbar (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00067E4YU/ref=twister_B07C2HPZ36?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) routinely, a basic stress ball for just squeezing, stretching and icing and my elbow is feeling stronger. I'm going to get back on the mats next week, focus on technique and ease back in to rolling and go from there. It sucks because it is one of those things where there is no quick fix.

Literally just dealt with this. So annoying. I took a good 3 weeks off from doing anything upper body related. Reading some of the variation in recovery time really started to worry me. During that time off, I did stretches for my forearm/tendons (basically just extending my arm, palm up, and using my other hand to pull my palm down to where I would feel a good stretch), and I bought one of these. Take a look at this video for some resistance stretches with that.

Here's the thing, at the end of the 3 weeks, I could still feel a little tenderness, but I was getting really down/impatient, so I just said screw it, I'm gonna go in and drop about 15% of the weight I was doing and just try to work through it, focusing on form to try not to exacerbate it or make it worse. Your mileage may vary but it ended up going away shortly after.

I have it bad from an old climbing injury, it flared up recently when I was doing something stupid. Anyway, I've been using one of these for a few days and it seems to be helping along with ice and stretches. Google it for some YT videos on how to use it for recovery.

This does not sound like carpal tunnel but it could be repetitive stress related. My main symptoms are weakness (my grip is not so good), numbness, coldness and tingling in my fingers, and both sharp and radiating pains from my wrist to my elbow to my shoulder.

My research into carpal tunnel surgery found it was not very effective. I'd probably try to find a new occupation before I would consider letting anyone cut my hand open.

I have had awesome results using a Thera-Band FlexBar. It comes with a booklet detailing exercises to improve strength, range of motion and flexibility. Most of my symptoms disappeared within 2 weeks of using it every other day for about 20 minutes. I keep it by my desk at work now and might use it 20 minutes a week now if I feel a painful twinge or on a boring conference call.

I had pretty bad outer elbow pain (tennis elbow?) that wouldn't go away for over a month. I tried to take time off, limit sparring, stretches, etc.. Nothing made a bit of difference. I started to think about getting a shot, or just having my arm taken off, and I bought one of these on amazon and used it like this. Pain was less in about 2 days and mostly gone in about 4. After a week I had no pain. Been painless ever since.

Youtube has several videos that demonstrate an exercise called the Tyler twist. I had "tennis elbow" from playing guitar and typing and I did this exercise and dramatically improved in about 4 weeks. Read the reviews on Amazon. It's not a gimmick product. It really works.

I bought a flex bar on Amazon. Simple and works surprisingly well. I thought it was going to take a while to work but found out that it mitigated the pain quickly.

I twist and hold for 10-seconds then slowly reverse the twist, do both directions.

There's a study out there performed on people with the worst of the worst of elbow tendonitis and this + PT exercises was something crazy like 80% more effective than just PT exercises alone.
