If you just want a durable plastic bottle: any Nalgene-style bottle. Or a single walled steel bottle. These will sweat, and warm up/cool down like normal cups.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Thermos. I bought the thermos linked below a few years ago, and I'm continually impressed with its durability. It can take a beating and still keeps water cold. Highly recommended.

^ This is the correct answer. I have this one. It keeps stuff hot for 8+ hours, and since it has a flip top you can easily drink right from the thermos in case you don't have a mug handy.

LL Bean Boots - (signature version, if you like canvas). Go down a full size for medium-weight socks, size and a half for wool socks, which you should have at least three pairs of. Darn Tough has a no bullshit lifetime warranty, so feel comfortable buying their stuff. Weatherproof a pair of Thorogoods if bean boots aren't your bag. Here's a plain toe version.

A vintage navy peacoat is always a safe and timeless option.

Keep an eye out for merino wool beanies, softer than a baby's ass.

When all else fails, an insulated thermos and tea's a good thing to have.

I haven't had a spill since I started using this bottle 2 years ago. Except one time I tried to shake it with the lid open, that was a mess.

As others have said "6 months of expenses" but I'm going to recommend a bit further as a template plan

1. Look at your expenses per month vs your take home; if you have $100 bucks every month left over do yourself a favor and transfer $80 of that into a savings account each paycheck (auto transfer if possible)
   
   
2. Look at your expenses as others have said; Sometimes you want that pep that comes from a soda but you'll do your health and your wallet a favor by drinking water if possible. Cut out other things like starbucks if you can.
   
   
3. Things like multi-vitamins may or may not be beneficial to you - a lot depends on the dosage and release mechanism so just because something says 2000% RDA doesn't mean your body may necessarily absorb all of it. Vitamin C is a great example where the body will release excess into the urine but this is true of virtually all vitamins as well. As you're female the big ones you should nonetheless focus on are Vitamin A, D, E and potassium (especially potassium!) it makes a massive difference to your health.
   
   
4. Back to money matters - be aggressive about ensuring you have at least a $500 emergency fund on hand at all times, 3-6 times that would be even better but do as well as you can. The reason is you never know when you need an emergency visit to the ER or Dentist (e.g impacted tooth or needing a root canal and crown not fully covered by insurance, etc.)
   
   
5. As you are a fairly young adult take some time to sit down and draw out a career map. Think about where you are now and what you would like to be doing in 3 years from now, 7 and 12. The years are arbitrary but it helps to focus things. The main point is looking at where you are the thing you listed as what you'd like to be doing career wise and then writing down the steps involved to reach that point. Do some research if you can spare the time. You'd be surprised at how easy or even difficult things can be until you actually put them down in writing as to the steps involved.

That's what I got, it might be more expensive, but it's a one time cost and it doesn't break when I drop it.

I have travel mugs from David's tea. They have have the ones that unscrew on top, or flip open. They have kept my tea and other drink hot for hours and icy cold for just as long.

I would also recommend Zojirushi tumblers (like this one), they are excellent as well, or Thermos tumblers (like this).

Just decide on what kind of design you want, flip open or screw open top, and then which size fits you better, as in 12oz or 16 oz or 20 oz. Most of them are stainless steel inside which is excellent and most tops are easy to clean.

I would recommend travel mugs from any of those brands, as me and my family have used them, and the only reason i ever get a new one, is because i want a different color or different capacity.

Buy a thermos instead.

The worst thing that I have done is swap some barcode stickers around.

I got this (the store was selling it for the full retail price of like 20 something dollars) for like $8 because I swapped a no-name brand water bottle UPC on the bottom of the thermos.
