It is interesting that there are many who would always claim that such a racism is an isolated instance of Reddit. Go to any platforms filled with Anglo men of pink complexion of my generation (20s) then you'll find the same sentiment. For example, one only needs to take a look at the waves of Sinophobic comments in the Dota 2 or League of Legends community. People are actually relieved that China didn't win the Dota 2 Internationals - I have of course always noticed a sense of insecurity in others as in reaction to the great pride of the Chinese people.

Or, taking a look at "Historum" (including older generations), we find many who are extremely Sinophobic and insecure. One such example includes "Bart Dale" of Historum, who spends his time slandering Chinese history consistently i.e. suggesting Chinese armies historically only consisted of peasants, Chinese iron are of lower quality than European iron as refereed to as "pig iron", though users such as Bart Dale are always refuted by superior counterparts such as HackneyedScribe. If you are interested, search for Bart Dale on Historum and you'll know what I mean.

On twcenter.net, we see HackneyedScribe again, though explicitly exposing the Sinophobic racism. But of course, he gets attacked as a result, though the attackers are confused in how to produce counter sophistries as everyone knows HackneyedScribe is correct.

>This is the 'polite' type of racism that uses data to prove the inferiority of certain peoples. Like showing evidence of more black people being in jail as evidence of their natural violence, without taking into account that blacks are more likely to go to jail for the same crime. Such polite racist tactics expect the minority to be 'patient' and 'understanding' while raising a blind eye to the crap they have to go through. Well guess what, equal rights didn't happen when minorities are patient and understanding, or accepted the 'scientific fact' that they were an inferior race.

>How much one lies on a poll about the heads/tails of quarters, even if accurate, do not reflect how much nationalistic propaganda academics lie about their work.
>
>Also guess what, according to this study British are only somewhat less of a liar as the Chinese, so by the racist logic used to spin the British poll out of context, then the British poll is a lie and can't be trusted. @HackneyedScribe

The truth is, Sinophobia has always been with Anglo culture since several centuries ago, the fact that Chinese people are the only ethnicity to ever be barred from entering the U.S. should be telling.

The sooner this reality is admitted and the less we skirt around reality, the better. You know it, I know it, and so does any Asian who was raised in Anglo culture.

Personally, I plan to read Iris Chang's books, beginning with her "Thread of the Silkworm", as I am a big fan of 钱学森 and would like to see her interpretation of the U.S.'s racist discrimination against Chinese scientists. And, also personally, I am slightly worried that my sister will visit Australia as she has a somewhat shrill voice in public and Cantonese is not friendly to the ears of Anglo culture - Anglo culture does not of course distinguish Mainlanders from Hong Kongers in their racism.
