Will something like these Chippewas (with thick wool socks, obviously) be able to handle a southern New England winter? I wouldn't be wearing them in the snow itself, just in the cold and the salt and the occasional puddle of slush. I want them (Katahdin's floating outside my means at the moment, and everything else not even within sight) but I've been kinda incredulous. Would I be better of with something like this?
