I've had good luck with Tudia cases. They're not too bulky, and the TPU inner shell is thick enough at the corners and the ends to absorb a typical drop impact. The hard shell and the soft shell fit together pretty well, and the cases have a nice look and feel IMO.
AFAIK, there's no official shell grip like the older 2nd and 3rd gen models. but in the Amazon's "Customers who bought this item also bought" section of Moto G5 Plus' product page, you'll find many good suggestions.
