Lower your visibility. You need proximity to land your prize but you can lower your profile by building a wall of books/binders/etc
Attract via smell. A small plate of freshly cooked chicken nuggets and a small fan work wonders. Note: Make sure not to place yourself between fan and target or he may catch your scent and bolt.
