Let's start with the big picture. You're going to want somewhere to keep your cards.

For the ones at home, something like this should do just fine. It keeps things mostly organized, is rather inexpensive, and will last. You can make inserts to help subdivide more if needed.

Next, you're going to want something to carry your cards in for the go. Many people just use backpacks or messenger bags, but there are [specialty bags] (http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Zippered-Gaming-Corrugated/dp/B0009F3DQ4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1419647218&sr=8-2&keywords=card+carrying+case) that you can purchase as well.

To keep you decks organized and protected while in the bag, [deck boxes] (http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Boxes-Magic-Pokemon-YuGiOh/dp/B00EA9REK6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1419647294&sr=8-3&keywords=deck+box) are the way to go. They make things nice and modular and will protect your cards even if you just have a normal backpack.

For your trades, if you go that route, a [binder] (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Universal-Round-Ring-Economy-Vinyl-View-Binder/24966030) and some [sleeve pages] (http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Pocket-Page-Protectors/dp/B005HIOVOG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1419647392&sr=8-1&keywords=card+pages) should do fine.

Finally, your decks. Sleeves! Sleeves! Sleeves! and Sleeves! The cards in your decks are going to see the most use so you're going to want to protect them the best. I've found that [Dragon Shield] (http://www.dragonshield.com/) and [Ultra Pro] (http://www.ultrapro.com/division.php?d=g) sleeves are excellent for their value and use them on several of my decks. Cards in your deck are often your most powerful and you're going to want to keep them in the best shape possible.

Many people, myself included, will argue for getting a [Play Mat] (http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-84314-Grumpy-Play/dp/B00IT5GPZ2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1419647676&sr=8-3&keywords=card+playmat) so that you sleeves won't get torn up as much and will last longer, but it's not absolutely essential.

Oh! I forgot dice! My group have found that dice are the easiest way to keep track of things like life totals, counters, and about everything else you need a number for. Having your own are absolutely essential, there's always someone you can borrow from, but they're a great thing to have around.

edit One thing I want to point out is that everything there can be customized to fit your particular style, so have fun! The way you carry and present your cards says as much about you as the cards themselves!

This will hold 12-15 standard decks or 6 EDH decks. It has a pouch for a trade folder and slots that can be used for holding tokens. You can also slide dice in around deck boxes.

I have this. http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Zippered-Gaming-Corrugated/dp/B0009F3DQ4

It holds 9x 80 card deck boxes and 3x 100+ card deck boxes.

It was designed to have a foam insert, but has been changed to cardboard in the current version. This shows through in that the places that hold the decks is too wide for most boxes.

Also, I recently got the 6x set of the M15 plainswalker deck boxes, and they are too big to fit 2 in the top compartment. I can use the normal solid color ultra pro deck box and the M15 together, but not two M15's.

Something along these lines???

I actually used this bag that hold card decks and put many of the games in he 50 or 100 card boxes. The top area hold game mats and instructions really well.

Here is a link to my first setup. I have since added and removed games.

As you can see you can get alot of games into a relatively small bag. My friends ask me to bring it all the time when we are getting together.

Best thing to carry it all in. Worth every penny.

It holds 12 decks in deckboxes (or dice pouch/box) I keep my dice in an altoids tin and it fits right next to a couple of the decks, also there is room for pens/ extra cards or whatever beside the decks.

I can also fit two of these (one for standard trade, one for non-standard trades) side by side on top of it all (or you could fit a folded up mat in there.)

I agree with these, I am almost finished with all 10 wedge/shards, and have purchased and sleeved 4 of the 5 4 color decks (a buddy really wanted to make a ydris deck and I don't wanna have 2 floating around the meta) as well as a few random decks as well so far. With 16 ish decks at the moment all sleeved and ready to go I wanted some cheap deck holders for them. I use these ultrapro 100+ deck boxes for all my decks now ( not strictly true I have 1 in an old ultra pro satin which is a truly nice box just gets to expensive when going for the volume I have) and store those in https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Gaming-Case-Trim/dp/B0009F3DQ4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482856297&sr=8-1&keywords=ultra+pro+bag. I can fit roughly 12 of these deck boxes in there which makes it really snug and secure. I can also attest to these boxes protecting my deck from a fall off the table (has happened a few times), and the only real thing I can not speak to is someone sitting on the bag. While I don't treat my bag like crap I am also not being extra careful with it, I sling it over my shoulder as I walk from my car to the houses we play at and will gently toss it into the driver seat. I have not found any damage done to any of my cards.

I would like to finish by saying once again I was going for a cheap solution to a lot of decks. It is bad enough I have to use dragon shield matte sleeves, I didn't wanna add another 8-13 dollars per deck for a good box. I got a good deal on the dragon shields so now each deck only runs me maybe 10 dollars extra for protection.

If you have your decks in different colored sleeves (or in smaller deck boxes, like these), you can just carry them in one of the white cardboard boxes that most people store cards in. My LGS sells them for $3 each and I imagine you could fit more than 10 decks in one. They look like this, but this one might be better for you.

You could instead get the Khans of Tarkir holiday box, but I wouldn't recommend it since the quality of the cardboard is pretty low.

I have also seen people use this zippered gaming case to transport cards; one of the reviews says that it can hold 10 deck boxes.

u/TakingKarmaFromABaby · 2 pointsr/magicTCG

This Case has six slots, and the bottom three hold the best boxes ever made.

u/LockeFX · 2 pointsr/KeyforgeGame

I recently got this Ultra Pro case. https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Gaming-Case-Trim/dp/B0009F3DQ4/ref=pd_ybh_a_26?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=T0DAY40DZ4ZJBR56Y3RA

It'll store plenty of decks and I have all of the tokens separated into zen bin trays. I also have my decks separated into Root themed dice bags, which are adorable. I'll need cases at some point but want ones with nice art to make each deck stand out a bit. Same with sleeves, I just haven't had luck with either.

Is the bag in the picture, and yeah its 20 bucks, claims corrugated insert but it doesn't have the foam one it has the plastic one. We found this out when my friend ordered one to replace his original and promptly returned it do to it being plastic inside.

However if you're willing to spend a few extra dollars, may I recommend this one http://us.battlefoam.com/c4-p-a-c-k-c4-bag-2-0-with-foam/ yeah its 52 bucks but worse things have happened. I have seen this in person it holds 4 flip mana deck boxes, has 2 pouches for dice and I believe you can even put some spare sleeves/tokens in there. Also, on the opposite side of the foam there is another pouch which you could toss a ultra pro binder in and that unzips to a 3 ring binder, so you have a carrying case and trade binder all in one. Just my two cents the only downfall is the fact that it says PACK C4 and is military colored, which if you do a lot of airport travel could cause an issue or two.

Hope I helped.

If you want to keep your Amiibo in the best condition possible while transporting them, you're not going to want any of the cases that doesn't separate them—otherwise it's just a flashy, glorified milk crate. The Amiibo will get dings, scratches, and most likely exchange paint unless you manage to transport them extremely carefully. The 3-slot bag is the best option listed here for keeping the figures in good condition.

I use to work in a comic shop and we had a ton of carrying cases for miniature gaming, but all the compartments are too small for Amiibo. However, maybe something like a deck case would be good. This one in particular holds six deck boxes, which are compatible in size to Amiibo, so it at least doubles the storage of the HORI one for $5 more. Hope this helps!

This is the case I use. It fits the original game plus the first expansion great. I had to take out the dividers to make everything fit. Really, I could fit everything from the 2nd expansion, the only downfall is putting your decks in deck boxes takes to much room and you're out of space. I see those board game bags that will work but for what i need right now I think it'll be to bulky and transporting the game will throw everything around inside of it unless you put other games in it which I wouldn't.

u/MonksterAZ · 1 pointr/magicTCG

I am a fan of the ultra pro cases They will hold several decks, space for dice, and you can throw some tradebait in there as well if you want.

That's what I've used for years!

Only complaint is it isn't modular, so if you have specific needs you'll have to figure something out.

I.e. I had to slice up the divider to fit my DS for Pokemon VGC events.

Outside of that, I could fit my 2 magic decks (one in the leather mana symbol one), ds, dice, and my Pokemon and yugioh decks, all in one go

u/xflorgx · 1 pointr/EDH

I've had a bag like this for probably 10 years now and it hasn't failed me yet.

I have an older edition that only has 5 deck slots (the bottom middle one is for dice) and is a plastic divider, but I'd hope that the new cases are just as good.

One feature I like is that it has a bunch of slots in the lid where you can put individual cards or small groups that you want to have on hand. (Like tokens or sideboard cards.)

u/REDcamp · 1 pointr/KeyforgeGame

I've been in the camp of Ultra Pro Deck Boxes - the cheap $1-2 ones to hold 2 decks, but I recently discovered that these index card boxes at Dollar Tree can carry up to 3 decks with room for dice and tokens. Example - I need to get a couple more but my local store is out.

Alternatively, Ultra Pro makes these cases. I can't speak to the quality of them now, but I still have one that I bought 12 years ago when I was playing Magic that still holds up.

Here is another idea I have had one of these for like 15 years. Love it.

This works great for me.

I removed the cardboard dividers and it holds 15 edh decks if you single sleeve and use the smallest box.

You could try one of these

I own one and I really like it. I don't use it to carry my stuff everywhere though, because I never go anywhere with a ton of decks. But when I do this fits nicely into my backpack and it serves as a nice storage container at home.

A thousand times yes! Now if I could get it in a nice leather, or that laptop case feel without it being a super rigid case. That's really nice, and perfect! Amazing find!

Edit: So far, the best I could find would be this: http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Zippered-Gaming-Corrugated/dp/B0009F3DQ4 ... I'm thinking I'll grab one of these, and put in my own custom cut foam/dividers. Ugghgh. If only that case weren't metal! I really want a shoulder carrying option.
