I use these card sleeves. I love them because they fit perfectly to the card and it doesn't move around inside.

I personally prefer to slip the card in upside down so the top of the card is touching the bottom of the sleeve.

If I'm going to be scanning a lot of cards in my game (or mailing them), I use anything similar to these top loaders.

For a binder I am currently using a few of these ultra pro 4-pocket binders until I have all of the official binders here.

if they're learning how to play still, i'd recommend starter deck: codebreaker, as it's the most recent starter deck and a good place to start learning the game. it's pretty well rounded in terms of the cards in it, while still being basic enough so as to not overwhelm new players with walls of text in the card effects. if they already know how to play, then the legendary hero decks is probably a good pickup. it comes with three different theme decks based on characters from the different series, all basically playable right out of the box. if they want packs to open, then the most recent main booster set soul fusion might be a good place to start, though shadows of valhalla, battles of legend: relentless revenge, or legendary collection kaiba are also good sets with lots of cards that fans of the anime would enjoy. (the links for the four booster sets i mentioned are booster boxes, but you can buy individual packs at walmart or whatever as well if you wanted to mix and match. three or four packs of each set for each kid for example, that way they get a more varied pool of cards to play with and collect if they're less worried about actually playing the game.) i'd also recommend getting some card sleeves and a binder so they can learn to protect their cards and keep them organized, since nobody likes damaged cards. playmats aren't strictly required to play the game, but they are recommended as the game has zones that need to be kept track of for a number of reasons, and having the zones visible helps keep things lined up so you know what's going on. the starter deck comes with a paper playmat, which is serviceable enough for a beginner, but there's quite a few playmats available that have zones that are pretty good quality (they're like big mouse pads, basically) though you can get some that have a wide range of designs on them, even custom made ones, though i've yet to have my own made yet so i'm not sure how that works exactly. only other thing you'd really need are a few deck boxes so they can keep their decks separate from the rest of their cards.

You need to find side loading sleeves that have the textured backing.

The Ultra Pro 4-pocket binder has these kinds of sleeves (this is what I'm using atm). Basically the front of the pocket is clear/plastic, but the back of the pocket is this black textured material. It helps a lot with keeping the cards straight and in place.

I have seen a couple of other brands with the same thing (and in larger folder sizes), sorry I don't remember what they were though... Basically I just went down to my local and they had a whole bunch there.

I use a book meant to hold trading cards to hold my eyeshadow sample bags and an ammo box to hold my 1 mL perfume samples. They keep my samples organized and really easy to access. I organized the book by color and the perfumes by brand and the order they're in in my spreadsheet. I can link them in a little bit, I'm on mobile right now

here's the book and the box. I got the box for $4, no idea why it jumped up so high, there's many other boxes the same size you can find but basically you're looking for 38/357 cal because that's the perfect size for 1 mL samples. there's also larger boxes that'll fit 2 mL sample vials. here's my book. First page has the ones I use the most (dog days, smudge, atlas, figment), then taupes, lighter base colors, highlights, gold, orange, blue, green, pink, pink/purple, purple, brown/black, with all colors in order from light -> dark.

If this is just a storage/stay-at-home binder, the cheap-ass Ultra pro is plenty serviceable: Ultra Pro PRO-Binder, 4-Pocket, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0094J1PJ8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_lDRyCbEAD3V6V

Alternatively, if this is something you’re frequently toting around, I’d advise something a little more robust, like the Ultimate Guard 4-Pocket: Ultimate Guard 4 Pocket Zipfolio Xenoskin Deck Case, Red https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017SYRRQ0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_.FRyCb0Y7MFE2

I do, but If you don't mind I'll share it as soon as I'll finish all my decks.
I'm using this binder, since it was the cheapest one on Amazon Italy.

u/ChromiumTHC · 2 pointsr/amiibo

I got this one and it works just fine. Holds 160 cards. It also works fine with the individual sleeves I put on them.

I ordered a 4-page binder like this:
Amazon - Ultra Pro binder

The pilot cards fit just fine. For the mini-weapon cards I inserted a staple on some of the pages to divide the card slot, allowing 2 smaller cards to sit side-by-side.

It was enough room for the base set and waves 1/2. Have not added wave 3, but there was a little extra room.

Anyone take any pictures? I'm really on the fence about it. I use this. It has a flexible plastic cover and stitched in pages as well, but enough slots for 160 cards. I really just want it for the art.

I bought one of these ones and it works beautifully. Cards fit and insert from the center of the page so they won't fall out. I like it, but there are a few bad things about it:

  • It's 180 slots and there's no way to add or remove pages from it. I'm personally using the last 80 spots to begin storing duplicates for now. Eventually I'll start filling them in with Series 2 and eventually I'm hoping to have three binders at most for them (if I choose to try to get them all, which I'm hoping I don't try to do).

  • The slots are a bit bigger than the cards. And apparently they may or may not be acid-free, so protective slides are recommended. I bought these ones and they fit perfectly in the slots.

I'm planning on getting one of these to hold the cards and am thinking that an empty card box is the easiest way to hold the dice.

I am playing less Modern, and am considering trading some of the Grixis Death's Shadow cards that don't overlap with other decks, if I can trade them all at once.

I am always willing to look at your tradelist, so feel free to send me a message if I have something you're interested in, even if you don't have anything I've listed below. Deckbox is my preferred means of correspondence / trading.

Notable Haves:

  • Death's Shadow (4 WWK), Street Wraith (4 FUT), and Collective Brutality (2) [only trading these cards together]
  • Ancestral Vision (4 TSP)
  • Sword of Light and Shadow (DST)
  • Null Rod
  • Scroll Rack (TMP)
  • Bitterblossom (2 MOR)
  • Scion of Oona (4)
  • Unified Will (5)
  • Countersquall
  • Bulk rares (regular and foil; happy to work out a fair discounted price for rares with a Deckbox/TCG price of <$1-ish).

I also have some supplies for trade:

  • UltraPro 2x2 binder ($10): link
  • Ultimate Guard Monolith (Petrol / Teal) ($15): link
  • Ultimate Guard Monolith (Black) ($15): link

Conditions are used but fine. Happy to send photos if desired. I'd trade these at the value listed (not a huge discount, but you get to pay with MtG cards instead of cash).

    Notable Wants:

  • Intuition
  • Infernal Tutor (3)
  • Grim Monolith
  • Palinchron
  • Gilded Drake
  • Pact of Negation (FUT)
  • Gamble (USG)
  • ONS/ZEN/KTK fetches
  • Beta / Euro basic lands
  • Revised dual lands (especially Bayou; willing to trade out of inventory if I'm not currently using the cards)

Pros: Less than $10. I've used it for MtG for a long time, and it's stood up to moderate use.

Cons: Side-loading with some extra space. Cards might shift a little which messes up damage tracking. 40-pages of 4 cards might not hold everything you own. Should hold one faction and some mercs easily. A second faction will be tight.

For my group, we got four-pocket card binders. More specifically, we got these binders from Ultra Pro. These binders seem like the ideal size: spacious enough to fit even a level 20 wizard's spellbook, but not so big that they take up too much space in storage or at the table. We've only had them for a few months, so I can't comment on their durability, but they seem pretty solid so far. Cards are easy to slide in but don't fall out unless you pull them out, which is nice.

They don't really look like spellbooks, unfortunately, but you could probably DIY something if you wanted to.

  1. It depends if you're interested in trading or not. I prefer to pack light so I bring a small 4-pocket binder, filled with $2+ uncommons and rares that people might be interested in. If you prefer not to worry about people stealing your binder, you can write down a list of noteworthy cards you have and just tell them you'll bring the cards they wanted to trade next week or something.

  2. Do you mean steps in terms of turn structure?

  3. Just ask if they have room for 1 more player. If you join and decide that you don't like the power level, ask if they have any more 'casual' decks with them that they could use. If their group proves to be too cutthroat or abrasive, try to start your own group with some of the other players.

  4. I haven't been following Standard since last year, so I don't want to give any false advice or insight into a format I've become too unfamiliar with.

Here's some pics. As you can see, the binder's got a bunch of Pokemon stickers on it. I can get those off if you want, but figured I'd leave them on for now. It's barely been used. I used it for my cards but ran out of room. It's this one, or one identical to it.

The binder pages are these and are brand new, never used. I got some off Ebay and didn't need that many. There's 10 there but I need to hold onto 3-5 of them.

As for Umbreon/Vaporeon, I'm not too picky about condition. As long as they're at least in the "excellent" range, I'm sure they're fine. Otherwise yea, I'd like to see pics.

I just made mine last week. A picture's worth a thousand words, so here:

Liana's Spellbook

I'm in the process of creating a tutorial for it but my original idea was just to use a premade 4-per-page binder like this. But I realized that I had given mine to my brothers. I had the supplies to make one myself, except for fabric, which I would have bought anyway. So I just ran with it.
