I use them all the time for rc stuff. They have a release tab that let's you take them off.

Ah, I should've looked at your history before I asked, but thanks for re-linking it! And, as I saw in the comments, someone mentioned your desk. I couldn't help but notice the porous backplate that I am assuming hides most of your cable management.. it looks prime for zip-tieing! I have heard of releasable zip-ties that would be ideal to weave into those holes. But, regardless, you've done a great job!
