I wanted to share the floral arch that I made because I'm really proud with how it turned out and it was really easy to do. Total time spent was around 5 hours- while watching tv. I'm unsure if I will use this as our ceremony arch or not because we're getting married outdoors and it's a bit top heavy so idk if I want to deal with that or not. The copper base was given to us from a friend who got married in October so if nothing else figured it would make a super fun backdrop for our brewery reception.

To build the arch I used needle nose pliers and sort of bent/ wrapped the stem of the branch around the pipe so that the flowers could just hang on it. Then I would secure the branch by criss-cross wrapping the stem and pipe with floral tape until it felt secure. Once all my flowers were in place I wrapped the entire length of the top with floral tape to make sure it was all really secure. Then I hid the top with the curtain scarf. I think the same technique could be applied for a lot of different styles and flowers but I really like the way wisteria hangs. I think I'll go through and trim some of them so it's not all the exact same length and looks a little more natural- plus fluffing the flowers and spreading the branches will really help too.

Breakdown of cost:

Copper pipe- $0

Flowers: $68

Curtain Scarf: $8

Floral Tape: $6

I have literally no clue how much copper pipe costs and that can be depended on how big you make the arch so I just rounded up to $100 as my "total"

Here's some links

Flowers x 2 which were $18.99 a piece when I bought them.

Flowers x 2 which were 14.99 a piece when I bought them.

Curtain Scarf

Floral Tape-I used 2 rolls

I got this for our arbor for the same purpose. Not exactly luxury fabric, but it'll do the trick for $6. It is 55"x216". I haven't used it yet but I can update you with a photo in 8 days.
